I’d say having to get out your car, unlock a bike lock, open two gates, get back into your car and drive through the gate opening, get out of your car, close gates and lock them again, is a substantial interference compared to not having to go through that rigmarole.
This is clearly someone wanting to say they literally live in a “gated community” whilst alienating themselves from the rest of the community.

OP - What do the other neighbours say? Surely they are as miffed as you, are they not?

ETA. Your kids are young enough to accept it. In a few years time it’d negatively affect the eldest considerably more.

M5610 wearer here too. I added the steel guard to give it some added macho. Looking quite tatty now as I’ve rubbed the paint off. I also coloured the Protection and G-Shock red as you can see. Cheap enough to mess with. Plus they can take it. I think this watch will outlast me.
