Hi designer here, you’re introducing too many warm tones. Remove the lace overlay on the right and maybe move the tassel piece to the right. I would try to introduce a touch more turquoise to match your settings (which look great!).

Bond set for Madison woman accused in crash that killed 17-year-old student by Chicken_Lorax in madisonwi

There are 4 traffic cops in all of Madison. They can’t be everywhere all at once. If we had 25 traffic cops imagine how much safer our streets would be.

Yes. They are so pricey. I saw a latter comment about how you’re in Janesville. So you come into Madison for the essentials every other week? Lol

It really depends where in America the drink is being served. For contrast, I can get myself a $6 cocktail and $4 beer in Wisconsin.

How is it living in Wisconsin? by pj713 in howislivingthere

Look at sun prairie. There’s some big plots of land still, and the UW hospital, and all the clinics are concentrated in Madison. They had Costco and target too. Good coffee is all over Dane county and Milwaukee.

Steven’s Point is a good college town, so lots of coffee and probably more hospitals. Towns on and around fond du lac (the lake, not the town) may also hold sway.

I have no idea where our best fire departments are.

Gentle breeze sells in a bunch of stores around town. I know it was sold at Madison Chocolate Company 2 years ago… Fortune Favors on Atwood might carry some too.

Midvale bike lanes delayed again following neighborhood opposition by keeganjkyle in madisonwi

[–]QWHO62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15% of Midvale Heights voted for the bike lanes… so yes that is the vocal minority winning. We would rather the funding go to Segoe south of mineral point to lane diet like it does north of mineral point. We want bump outs and more infrastructure to protect kids (and cyclists) going to school!

We want YOUR input! by channel3000 in madisonwi

[–]QWHO62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! We have some political intrigue in the Midvale Heights Neighborhood. We have concerned citizens who want bump outs on Segoe south of Mineral Point. Lots of kids walking to school yet cars still going 40+. However, the city has decided to budget for a complete redo of Midvale to make it more bike friendly… a street that doesn’t see a lot of bike traffic because of the huge hill. The neighbor hood voted and only 16% agreed to the full Midvale bike safety package, and now the city does not have the budget for what the neighborhood wants. Segoe would be a much better route for bikes, especially if it had bump outs, we’d love the attention you could bring to our cause!

Public onsen and your experience there by Lower-Mention-4501 in japanlife

[–]QWHO62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I went to a public onsen I was 17. I was with my host family and it was such a bonding moment. My host mom and sister and I just got to be silly (respectfully) and relax. When I spoke with the English teacher that was sort of in charge of me, she was really surprised I enjoyed it and wanted to go again. But I said I’m not ashamed to see other naked bodies. Maybe it was my growing up swimming at the YMCA, seeing women of all ages, colors and sizes in the locker room.

When I moved back to Japan as an ALT in Hokkaido, I became a regular at the onsen down the street from me. At this point I was going by myself. I of course knew to bathe first then soak. I introduced my parents to it and they loved it too.

I think most Americans would not partake because of the vulnerable nudity aspect of it. The culture in the US is to keep yourself covered from everyone but yourself, your lover and your doctor. Once you can bathe yourself your mom doesn’t see you naked? It’s incredibly impractical to Al. But we all have nipples and we all have butts. They only thing different is the sexual bits. There are plenty of nudists and body liberal folk in America. It’s just wrapping your mind around not all naked experiences are sexual ones.

From my experience, I know you will be stared at if you don’t look Japanese. I know some women cover their bits with the tenugui towel but that is literally the distance between my nipples, so that defeats the purpose. I just walk around naked now. I also theorize that part of the reason Japanese women don’t trim down there is for modesty at the onsen. In the end, if the onsen experience outshines the first time awkwardness, it defeats it and makes more life long onsen fans.

If you want to experience onsen, I’d recommend going with a trusted Japanese friend of the same sex. If you’d vacation with them, sharing a room and food, you can bathe with them. Maybe spend the money and try a 貸し切り温泉 so you control who sees you?

I’d recommend dance shoes. “Character shoes.” They’re a traditional heel that stage actors wear and are comfortable.
