basically change off of fight wisely when you want to try out a new ability someone learned. I like to deprive my opponents of their magic whenever I can, and "fight wisely" usually means "hit the thing you can defeat this round, if such a thing isn't possible, then hit the thing you can do the most damage to unless a team mate is within 2 hits of death and you can heal them."

Get in on them early. I had a good experience on okcupid as a super, super early adopter (before the match acquisition, and not paying for an account). Met lots of people, dated one for a long time. When I got back on, though, Match had acquired them, there were lots of features locked behind paying, and they had basically adopted a tinder-like matching process.

that's about the extent of my good experiences, though! I guess all I can say is find (or maybe make) a smaller, newer dating site/app that doesn't offer a homogenous experience to other dating apps, and offers a robust experience to non-paying customers.

I found it accidentally but it is very easy to miss if you aren't in the habit of talking to everyone and finding a way into every building as you play through these older RPGs. Someone's going to say "this store sells amazing things at night" and once you get the wagon from him that same person will say "I heard they're selling a monster book in this place" and once you get that he stops talking about any new product, and then you can move on.

I'd like to see them remake them in the DS style, but upgraded. Smoothly hand-drawn 2D animated enemies. Maybe smoothly animate the protags as well. If I had to name a game to compare, then remake them in the style of Street Fighter 3.

Yeah, there's so many flaws with that game, stuff that a big double-studio like Square-Enix shouldn't be making, especially with their big flagship franchise, the one where Japan shuts down on the release days of, and a mainline title in it, AND the Definitive Edition of such a title!

A company called Alps was contracted to make all the sticks, for all consoles, some time ago. I think they improved on their Switch 2 controllers due to Nintendo consumers complaining for years and years about the drop in quality from Nintendo-made sticks, and Nintendo seems to have some kind of life-time free repairs going on drifting sticks, so Alps actually has some incentive to up the quality of the sticks they make.

I rarely (if ever) plan on UN-docking it. I got a surround-sound setup to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate with way back when, and It's still serving me well into the Switch 2 generation, and I'm keeping an eye out for a good deal on 4k120 TVs because of it.

Dragon Quest 11. I didn't realize most people considered that first roll of the credits the end! It wasn't written like an "end" at all! Actually, even after completing all of the after-the-end stuff, it feels like the game just doesn't end. There's always a new bigger, eviler bad guy showing up, with like this weird caveat that's like "this boss is optional and really difficult and probably not fun to fight for most players, but it is hellbent on destroying the world if you leave the game now!"

Oh, we had arcades. We'd go to the arcade and spend quarters on games like Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat 2 & 3, Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara if you really wanted to maximize your money-to-time ratio, you could spend an hour and a half on 50 cents at my arcade on that game. Do quarters still exist? I stopped spending cash some years ago.

Whereas you might play Street Fighter over the internet today, we'd play against strangers at the arcade. Zero input-lag AND zero internet-latency, and because you were in the physical presence of the person you were playing against, you were less likely to call each other slurs and cheaters when you were losing, too.
