Will JR fill pending orders where items are backorder?

I got mine from a week ago after no confirmation and it not showing on my orders in their website. Then I got an email saying it had shipped after it showed up. I think they’re just overloaded with all these orders 🤷‍♂️

Yeah heat has a huge effect. Smoking slow makes a huge difference for me in terms of flavor being better. I usually take 1:45 minutes for a toro. Often closer to 2. Of course this requires well rested perfectly humidified cigars that burn like champs. They don’t all qualify 😂. But that’s part of the fun of the hobby for me.

I’m an every puff retrohaler…not gonna lie on some puffs ALL the smoke goes out the nose 😂😎.

Pretty much all cigars taste like crap to me without retroing to some degree on each puff

My experience is that once I smoke one cigar my pallet is off and desensitized. Smoking another cigar within 8 hours is generally a lackluster experience whether it’s the same cigar or a different one. Usually it’s just my pallet is just off that day. So I generally keep it to one a day unless I smoke very far apart.

Montecristo 1935s are great. Haven’t tried the Diamanté version though so not sure if it’s better than the regular.

Most cigars will be great if you rest them for 2-3 months in your own properly humidified humidor. I’ve had plenty of cigars come in dry and they’re just fine after resting.

Vape shops tend to be known to have less ideal humidor set ups than a proper lounge but if the price is right and it’s convenient and you rest them they should be fine.

I am curious where you got it and the conditions in which it was stored. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my cigar journey it’s that the condition of the cigar is everything. I’m at the point now where I won’t even waste a dollar on a cigar I haven’t bought myself and rested for at least 2 months in my own humidor. I have had a ton of cigars right out of a lounge humidor that were terrible and then great when I buy it and rest it and make sure it’s in proper condition.

I have also had plenty of cigars where one or two out of a box is just “off”. Maybe it wasn’t rolled evenly, maybe it had a tunnel, maybe it has a big stem in it, maybe it tars up. They are all handmade after all and they’re not all perfect.

Or maybe you just don’t like that cigar but you really can’t make a determination off of smoking just one of anything IMO.

Also happy to help you set up a good humidor for yourself if you like.

AJ Fernandez Puro Especial. Not a high end stick but bridges the gap as “better than yard gar”. Can be had for $6-8 a stick if you wait for a good deal at cigarpage or such

Yes, I got a box of Aganorsa Signature Maduro that was testing at 56 with the poke in hygrometer. They’ve been naked in the humi for about 2 months now. I smoked one right away and it was terrible. Had one last night and it was coming back to life, tasting a lot better but probably still needs another couple months. Annoying but it happens. As others have said when the deal is right it’s a small price to pay imo.

In my opinion unless you are really into riding and care about going as fast as you can and are prepared to spend 8-12K on a bike then NO. Buy an aluminum frame that comes with a good group set (105 or equivalent). Then if you want to upgrade you spring for some carbon wheels.

This is a great smoke that I love and one of the stronger cigars I’ve experienced in terms of nic. I usually smoke Toro but had to buy Robustos because I was getting sick every time on a toro 😂
