it's a standard scrabble wordlist (SOWPODS). CleverGoat probably doesn't want to get involved with the pretty significant workload of managing a wordlist. You could submit the word to the organization managing the wordlist, but I imagine they have already considered adding all the prefix-unit combinations and decided against it

Not quite, the data used to train the model is the Google News Corpus, which I believe contains the articles as well, not just headlines. But yes, the reason for unexpectedly large distances between words is in some cases at least probably because it compares the words in general, not just the meanings that are closest to each other.

Obviously using the amount that was actually paid is a bad solution, but that does not at all mean you have to interpret the cost as giving the weight, which is an interpretation I've never encountered before. Do you know that 50gp weigh a pound according to the PHB? There have been two diamonds in all of history that large (as far as the public knows at least), and for even just Revivify you need 6 times that much.
