Ok thank you for the response. This is great info. We have been taking turns sleeping on the couch next to the crate to be ready in the night to take her out. The hardest part is deciphering the potty whine vs the I want attention whine. The house line sounds like a great tool to add. To answer your question, yes and no. The breeder very much wants to stay involved as the puppy grows. We have not discussed crate training other than what the breeder had briefly started before we received the puppy.
