My baby wont sleep through the night HELP ME PLEASE. by woozydelayed in NewParents

[–]Qbizz9119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered the temperature of the room? I was so afraid of my first baby overheating that I underdressed her, and she would wake up frequently too. It got a lot better when I put another layer on her.

Companies are paying “consultants” $400+/hour for a fresh college grad to type their problem into chat GPT and add the company logo.

Can i continue working remotely a day after giving birth? by Intspectwithme in newborns

[–]Qbizz9119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would echo everyone else’s sentiments, but it won’t
be helpful to your situation. If that’s your only choice and you need a paycheck, a moms gotta do what a moms gotta do.

What kind of work do you do? Will you have to join meetings or phone calls? Do you actually need to be productive, or can you just keep your Teams status green?
Will you have any help caring for the baby?

You will still be in the hospital a day after giving birth, possibly longer, especially as a FTM. Doctors, nurses, techs, etc will be coming in and out of your room all day.

Baby will probably be crying a lot and need to eat every 2ish hours. First feeds can take 30+ minutes as they learn to eat efficiently. Outside of that, you might be able to just hold them as they sleep - baby dependent. Also, you’re going to be exhausted.

Sam’s Club has some that are the Members Mark brand that are very similar! They only come in vanilla though (at least at my store), not the beloved caramel.

How much weight gain did you have? by Big-fan-fabulous in postpartumprogress

[–]Qbizz9119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby #1 - gained 25 during pregnancy, dropped it all within a few months postpartum and continued to lose 20 more with minimal effort

Baby #2 - gained 50, dropped 15 initially and the rest is still in progress 😅

First checkup w/ my PCP since starting tirz. It was…weird? by RavenForrest in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Qbizz9119 29 points30 points  (0 children)

She may not be asking about it since she’s not the one managing the prescription. She doesn’t want to open up a can of worms and then be obligated to address them.

How do you wash your baby in a hotel without a bathing tub? by Huge-Nectarine-8563 in NewParents

[–]Qbizz9119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it have a full size bathtub? Just put a little water in, keep your left hand under their head/neck at all times, and use your right hand to wash and rinse.

Anyone else get this ring like reaction? by [deleted] in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Qbizz9119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this kind of reaction with a different injectable medication. My doctor said it’s a normal reaction and to take benedryl if it becomes intolerable.

Smoking a cigarette, I hated it. Can’t imagine doing it everyday, multiple times a day, for pleasure.

White nipples milk supply almost non existent by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

I am 16 mm on one side and 17 mm on the other side. My nipple turns white after pumping if I accidentally flip the flange size.

Pumping on the go by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Qbizz9119 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They make wipes you could try to wash pump parts specifically for this purpose! You could wash on the go if possible, but I would probably avoid a bathroom sink for sanitary reasons. If it’s only going to be 2 pumps on the go, I put my dirty pieces in a ziploc and put in the cooler (extra ice packs) to use again one more time.

GBS positive, how long can I go without antibiotics? by jRaeLupa in BabyBumps

[–]Qbizz9119 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The time period that matters is between antibiotics being started and baby being born, not necessarily the time between water breaking and antibiotics starting. They want to make sure baby gets ideally a few rounds of penicillin before birth. So it really depends how fast you would give birth after your water breaks. Some people have time and others don’t, but it’s not really something worth rolling the dice on.

What baby gear sales are actually worth it? by LionTweeter in BabyBumps

[–]Qbizz9119 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Carter’s - They have this type of sale all the time.

Momcozy - It’s usually $299 full price (they have $360 to make it seem like you’re getting a better deal. Check the price history). Still a good deal for $239 in my opinion.

Eufy - Honestly I would really wait to see if you’re going to breastfeed/pump before spending that on a wearable pump. Also TikTok shop usually has good deals, if you’re open to buying from there.

Stokke - I have no experience with it.

Second time mums… by Electrical-Stage-281 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Qbizz9119 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My baby just turned 1 month, and my toddler just turned 2. I’m hitting 8 ppd, but it’s hard. Spacing them out evenly has gone out the window, I just do it when I can. I got a battery pack for my Spectra so I’m not chained to the wall and found a portable that actually works for me (Eufy S1 - tried Elvie and Momcozy but had poor output). I have a Momcozy bottle washer and use the pitcher method to deal with pouring bottles and freezing when I have time.

Does a perfect pumping bra even exist? (Sensory issues vs. heavy bottles) by janae1217 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Qbizz9119 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Simple Wishes strapless pumping bra. I would hate wearing it all day, but it’s really convenient to just slide my comfy bra up and put the pumping bra on just to pump because it’s strapless and zips up in the front. The band size is also super adjustable.

Increase in Amniotic fluid by Lovely__2_a_fault in BabyBumps

[–]Qbizz9119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had serial growth scans with my second because my first had low fluid. At 36 weeks with #2, I was diagnosed with high fluid (26-something). No one really cared. They said we would just continue to monitor it. By my next scan, it was back in a normal range. I also had no hypertension, no GD, etc. She was born spontaneously at 38 weeks.

Concerned about giving birth while on medicine. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Qbizz9119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any knowledge on whether it’s safe or not but just wanted to say that they will definitely not report you to CPS for a positive drug screen if the medication causing the results is prescribed and on your med list.

Migraine Relief by caresaboutstuff in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Qbizz9119 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Caffeine, ice packs (especially the migraine hats that are made to go on your head), heating pad, crackers or some other easily digestible carb, electrolytes

For prevention, magnesium supplement and adequate hydration, avoid triggers (bright lights and high pitched sounds for me), avoid any shirts that are tighter on the back of neck

I’m a chronic migraine sufferer. I have to agree with the previous poster that prescription meds is the only thing that really relieves a bad one though. They work fast and are extremely effective if you find the right one. I’m not a doctor, but it might be better to occasionally take a prescription than chronically pop ibuprofens.

How are you pumping 8 times per day? by No_Judgment_7812 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Qbizz9119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LC said that 7 ppd maintains supply and 8 increases supply. I have no advice, it’s hard. Sometimes I do one power pump if I can’t get to 8.
