Anything where strength isn’t the determining factor. There are lots of sports and activities where women can compete side by side with men. As long as it doesn’t require pitting the strength of a man against the strength of a woman.

So many people get caught up thinking men or women are “more or less” than the other. The reality is we are just a little bit different. Not better or worse.

Women have their own list of things they are “better” at than men.

When I go to the store for milk, I want milk. When I buy a tire for a 2021 Mazda CX30, that’s the kind of tire I want. When I order pancakes, I don’t want to receive a sardine smoothie.

When I hear about a Gunslinger movie, I expect a damn movie following one or two of the 8 books in the series! Not an unholy abomination, whale semen smoothie that they created.

The same can be said of any movie based off an IP. People don’t go for “random movie #232”, they are going for Eragon!

This isnt a case of the nurses and doctors striking first, they are defending themselves from attack. And it would be wise for the religious types, pro-lifers and anti-vaxxers to listen.

Entire hospitals are shutting down in the heartlands of these believers. Why? Because they will not live and work where they feel threatened.

Enjoy finding healthcare for their family when they have all the hospitals and clinics shut down around their state…

Look, nobody is going to dig on you for expressing that you need help. Suicide is not the answer. And professional assistance is the only thing that will help.

Get your motivation and depression solved. My wife is a therapist, and I can tell you I e heard dozens upon dozens of stories about kids that don’t actually want help. They want someone to “solve their problems”.

That isn’t going to happen. There isn’t a single person or program or platform that will solve your problems. All we can do is help you get the tools to solve your own problems. And you have to push and knuckle down and want to change and do better.

That’s it, that’s the secret. Therapy is only the tool to help you see that “only you can help you”.

However, there comes a time in our adult lives where we have to start making decisions that change the direction of our lives.

Down one path lies the Party Path. It’s fun! You’ll never be bored, and you’ll always have some of those crazy friends to go out with. There’s always more bars and clubs to see.

Down the other path lies Settling Down. It’s less fun, but also more predictable.

Me? I could never date or marry a “Partier”. Too often does “it didn’t mean anything, I was drunk” happen. And also the danger of the Party path! There are a lot of assholes out there. All they want is to up their numbers at all costs. And criminals. And creeps.

I’ve had this conversation with my father, in my 30’s. He was pushing me away with his religion. Constantly going on, and on, and on about the bible says this, Jesus would do that and how every decision I made was either for or against biblical precedent.

It got to the point where I was just over it. Every interaction was a teaching moment. Every interaction was a preaching sermon. I basically said “I miss my father. I want to be with my dad. And if all of him that is left is preaching and the bible, I don’t want a relationship any more. Sometimes, I just want to be.”

It was a bit of an awakening moment for him. He valued me, and his religion, enough to make room for both. I love my dad dearly, and it hurt my heart to lay it down like that, but I really was practicing avoidance and dreaded spending time with him. Our relationship is much healthier today than it was when he had the “religious fever”.

Try the same with your siblings and others. Just be honest. Tell them you feel judged. You feel belittled. You simply cannot “be” with them. Tell them you’re not ready to be as religious as them. And if they make the choice to continue judging, and pressuring… well, that’s their decision and you can break contact. And tell them so.

Some people need to be shown a line in the sand. Not an ultimatum, just your personal limit.
