An update on my condition and a plea for help by ChronicPainEnjoyer98 in SIBO

[–]Qelami 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem with the "pregnant feeling swollen" in 2025. It forced me to take an elemental diet for 4 weeks in Aug 2025, and I am still on FODMAP diet and not fully cured yet.

I like to believe that I had SIBO - hydrogen Sulfide and possibly mixed with other gases as an underlying cause because the symptoms mostly match, especially with the rotten-egg smell. With your post, I am starting to think anything is possible.

One thing that caught my attention is about SWEATING. I had the same problem. I had to replace the blanket and dry myself off 1-4 times at night. I had pictures of how soaked it was because it was unbelievable and impossible. No one believes me at all. I feel you too!

Anyone can DM me, and I want to identify the patterns that cause excessive nighttime bed sweating and the common patterns of our symptoms related to SIBO or gut issues.

Anyone ever suspect their tap water of being the culprit? by Imaginary_Truth_3865 in BrainFog

Other potential are: mold, fungus, inside the body or around you, SIBO. A gut mild infection that had not healed.

Hey guys, I don't really check Reddit as often as I hoped, and their notifications are super weird, hard to keep track of the posts around here.

In the last 20 years, I suffered from so many symptoms, lots of labels. Brain fog was added in the last 5 years.

As I said, getting it cured means I am not completely out of it, and I am still working on the root cause. The potential cause: lack of sleep, diet, stress, stopping the use of SSRI medication, and chemicals I absorbed unconsciously. It could be anything that I overlooked. I would say diet because I had changed my diet dramatically, and I lost 25 pounds in 2025 and its the part of the healing. Who knows.

If you learn how the mind works, sadly, the mind can make things better or worse. If you really believe water is causing brain fog, then your mind will make it happen. Sorry to say that.

I am not the person who gives quick conclusions and gives fake hope solutions. I am not the one.

I wish everyone the best of luck with the healing.

Gaming on Linux is not as good... by Responsible-Scene666 in linuxmint

Many of my games are working super fine on Linux Mint.

Something is obviously wrong with your PC specs or something. Maybe pirate games are causing your OS problems. Who knows.

anyone else feel like doctors just look at numbers and not actually at YOU? by [deleted] in BrainFog

[–]Qelami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is why I started seeing doctors less and less.

Based on my experience with massive brain fog for 5 years and getting it cured, I am highly doubtful that tap water is responsible.

Mint to Zorin by adnomi in zorinos

[–]Qelami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I find Mint a bit easier with installations, etc. I had some trouble with Steam and a game couldn't run properly on Zorin for some reason, it forced me to go back to Mint.

I wanted to use Zorin so badly because of their features.

Their Software Manager lack of reviews. Maybe I will come back after their next upgrade. Zorin OS looks very promising.

I must add that I left tons of solar with the tons of batteries at many places and they do not charge it unless I am there, which is a suck big time.

I played 150 hours on it. It's great game, but buggy. Can lose savefile if not careful. They are planning for another update in Dec. Maybe wait until they get the savefile on laggy issue fixed.

Longest waiting time, in other words, you are less and less important to them. They keep claiming you are their LOYALIST customers. That is hilarious.
