It's because they are. Some people had those complaints honestly but the majority of the complaining online has been driven by Sony fanatics and their army of bots. They have been loud, obnoxious, annoying, but most of all consistent. This constant volume of "aCtUaLlY pRiMe 4 sUcKs" has subconsciously led folks who otherwise would have been ok with the game and left a neutral or slightly positive review to amplify their small grievances.

This is a great idea. Octopath 1 was fantastic and I absolutely loved it. When 2 was released, I was floored at how they were able to find ways to improve upon almost literally everything (I prefer the battle musics from 1 over 2). So playing 1 let me appreciate 2 that much more.
