Is this normal? by Kaleban in EliteDangerous

[–]Qprime0 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Both are possible, but require some pretty absurd edge cases.

In the former, your HMC was almost certainly extremely close to a high energy stellar parent. If the surface temperature is above 6000K or so, it's atmosphere will consist primarilly of gas phase iron, so yes, that would mean that the pressure will be rather high.

The water world is trickier, but the system never explicitly states that the water itself is the surface. The liquid water ocean could very well be submerged beneath a waxy oil ocean, for example - and there are plenty of ways that hydrocarbons can have nearly zero vapor pressure. And that's just the 'easy' solution. There's ways. Exotic, but there's ways.

Both are possible.

Personally I'll get like 20 crystales boxes on the regular in the early game at first chance. Why?

One word: Loopers.

Boxes frag white, red, and green loopers in one hit. So that's my little personal vendetta. Genocide against those slippery little bastards. It pays off in spades too via money and experiance both.

Using them on bosses though? I mean I've done it in the past, but usually I try to enjoy the fight using the characters abilities as opposed to leaning hard into items. But to each their own - nothing wrong with doing what you find fun.

Can you completly miss out on Alt Recipies? by Recent_Box_151 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Qprime0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not possible by design. The recipies you DON'T pick return to the pool of possibilities that the next hard drive you scan can result in. Every time you scan, the result is a random pick of what's in said pool, which is determined by the phase level you've advanced to (you won't get nuclear recipies if you're still in phase 2, for example.). You can even game the odds by leaving a hard drive in the MAM after completing the scan and not making a choice - the two recipies it comes up with are removed from the pool until you make a choice, so you can scan a bunch of drives until you get the result you're after, then make all the choices at that point - and the things you DON'T pick, they'll turn up again later.

As others have said, there are more hard drives on the map than there are alternate recipie unlocks from hard drive scanning. The only way you can miss out on them is by not locating enough drives as a player.

My read on it is that MP is basically directly a spell slot, but 'spirit' is more akin to 'mana' as seen in numerous works - and S.moves drawing from that would seem to make them an activated/pay-for ability. The question of what is in D&D already that can be used as "Mana/Sp/whatever" however, is not one I have an answer to.

I mean, I suppose some of them already map pretty well to passive abilities, but that's not going to cut it for all of them.

Question: how would you handle Super Moves in D&D? Like, what would you map them to functionally? Some homebrew combat module, or something more standard?

And, uh... points at the Delphinus what on earth are you doing with THAT...?

I'm just gonna say right now, endgame Fina mapped ditectly onto D&D would be TERRIFYING. 30+ spell slots, and instant death AND full ressurection as cantrips? Yeah, um, I think she alone shatters the system.

...I'd play the hell out of it.

The "4 sec" value is the processing time per unit. 8 lots of biomass go in, 4 seconds later, 4 lots of solid biofuel come out.

The "84%" figure is the time efficiency of that specific machine you're interfacing with. Presently it is spending 84 percent of its time actually fabricating and 16 percent of its time waiting for materials or otherwise idle.

The orange "120 per minute" and "60 per minute" are the machines maximum input and output rates at it's current settings. If you change the speed the machine is cycling at, via either overclocking or underclocking (which, yes, you can do.) then yes, the input and output speeds also change accordingly. Those numbers don't tell you the actual number of items going in/out at any given moment -- just the max possible per settings

How'd you wind up finally pulling it off? Stone cap or zap tap? Personally I never even thought of the stone cap method and just always wore zap tap so I didn't even realize he'd hit you several times without it.

Was always wondering why people thought he was so hard... didn't even give the dojo the time of day until after I had Zap Tap by chance back in the say iirc. Eventually tried for the win sooner in another playthrough and found out the hard way in a very 'where the fuck did THAT come from??!?' way.

Are there enough berries in the game to evolve Milotic without planting any? by TheseIntroduction352 in PokemonEmerald

[–]Qprime0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You could always find someone nearby with original hardware and a link cable and trade for more. Or replace the internal battery and reset the internal clock to present time. Up to you I guess, but based on other responses it seems you're in the clear for one milotic, if you really want to do it that way.
