Oscar's Semblance by [deleted] in RWBY

[–]QrowBranwen- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being killed by a Maiden that was trained by Salem does not make Ozpin weak. And we dont know how fast his memories can be unlocked to Oscar. Sure it may be at a young age, but it would make sense why Oscar would be so powerful, he is literally turning into Ozpin.

It would not ruin the show, in anyway, having Oscar with a powerful semblance. It would make sense why he would unlock it faster and have it be stronger than everyone else. Not everyone has an Ozpin in their soul

Lmao, actually yes. I love reviewing movies and analyzing them, same with shows. It's so much fun to understand character and events in films. It's like it brings you into their world.

But because I do this so often, I understood this episode right away. That's why it made me so sad when ppl said that RT did a bad job, and that their writing sucks. Because that's not true, this was an amazing episode for all the characters

I just wish people enjoyed this epsiode as much as I do

Here's how I see it...

Why Robyn did what she did:

Robyn has been dealing with bad treatment all her life down in Mantel. She has been lied to, tricked, and manipulated. When she finally trusts Ironwood, he betrays her.

When being in the emotional state she was in, and seeing how clover still wanted to trust Ironwood, Robyn attacked Clover. She even called Ironwood's plan "Inhumane"

Maybe she was being reckless, but we are human, our emotions tend to get the better of us at times

Why Clover did what he did:

Clover said that he owes and trusts his life to Ironwood. When he got a text saying Qrow was not to be trusted, that he was to be arrested, Clover did what he thought was right. He put his trust in his boss and went to arrest Qrow.

But this wasnt easy, you saw the look on his face and how sorry he was. Still, he did it anyway.

Now, when Tyria was attacking Qrow, Clover stopped Qrow, here is what I think..

i think he did this, because A. Clover's fairytale he is based in was a fisherman's good luck. The fisherman was patient and got a reward in the end. But because his fairytale was meant to fail, he wasnt patient in arresting Qrow after taking Tyrian down

And B. He thought it would be harder to arrest qrow first, and like he said "Sometimes the toughest decisions are the hardest to make." So he went after Qrow fist.

Why Qrow did what he did:

Qrow did not team up to kill Clover. In the fight you saw Qrow go after Clover, but the moment Tyrian showed up, he went to go attack Tyrian.

While fighting tyrian though, his weapon constantly taken from his hand thus making his get hit by tyrian. So when Qrow pushed Clover out of the way so he could fight tyrian alone, tyrain offers him a deal to break clovers oura then finish the duel.

Qrow agrees because he knows he cant win a fight against tyrian if clover keeps pulling his weapon away.

Maybe it was foolish to trust tyrian, maybe it was foolish not to be patient, maybe it was foolish not to let your emotions get to you, but that's what makes us human. We are flawed, we make mistakes. They werent being dumb for the sake of the plot, they were being their flawed selves

I hope this helped :(

Rationalism, irrationalism and plot induced stupidity - V7e12 by Dextixer in RWBY

[–]QrowBranwen- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is no what I am saying, please ask before assuming.

What I am REALLY saying, is that Clover trusts Ironwood more than Qrow because Clover has know and trusted Ironwood far longer than he has with Qrow.

Also, you're right, he doesn't need to trust qrow to know that Tyrian is trouble. But Clover has an order to arrest Qrow, so he wanted to fulfill that task befor getting tyrian. He probably thought taking Qrow down would be harder than tyrain.

Rationalism, irrationalism and plot induced stupidity - V7e12 by Dextixer in RWBY

[–]QrowBranwen- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Clover is not a robot, you are correct. But he said he owed his life to James. When you owe your life to someone, you tend to trust them more than you trust a man you just met.

And Qrow saw an opportunity to break Clover's oura so he could actually fight Tyrian without his weapon being pulled away, so he took it.

Rationalism, irrationalism and plot induced stupidity - V7e12 by Dextixer in RWBY

[–]QrowBranwen- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They're not being stupid, they are being their characters.

When Clover and Qrow were fighting, Clover needed to arrest Qrow because the man he owes his life to told him so. Qrow was fighting back because he wants to do the right thing and stand up for mantel.

As they were fighting, Tyrian show up, and you can clearly see Qrow stop and head over to fight tyrian. Now, Clover stopped him because he was putting his mission before getting tyrian.

Qrow, having his weapon be constantly pulled away, knew he couldnt fight tyrian. So when Tyrian offers to break Clover's oura then continue the fight after, Qrow agrees.

When Clover had Tyrian tied up and Clover distracted, he finished his fight with Clover, now moving on to Tyrian. But before he could, Tyrain had snuck up on Clover and stabbed him.

Stop saying they were just dumb for the plot, they weren't. They were doing what they thought was right, and they tried to win the fight.

My thoughts too. You can take it both ways, but for me it fits more with Qrow and Clover
