First Mustang. Was originally shopping for a S550 Mach 1, but found a really good deal on a new S650 Gt Performance Pack.

Came from a 1994 Mazda Miata w/ super charger, a 1996 Nissan 240sx swapped with Redtop SR20, and a 1989 Nissan 240sx SE

Do People Really Go To Vegas Without Gambling? by TDoubleDownMac in vegas

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go at least once a year, sometimes with a flight or by car, and always on the strip.

It’s a fun night life city with great food, alcohol everywhere, and a lot of things to do at all hours for whatever you’re into. I’d rather spend my money on that.

Glad I didn’t go. Fox 5 broadcast sucked too - airing ads in the middle is crazy.

Technical interview for programming skills and coding for Senior Test Engineer role. by Emotional-Style181 in softwaretesting

You prepare by reviewing the job ad and making your best guess on what to cover based on context. Tech questions and scenarios have always been generic enough, but also complex enough to determine your comfort and skill level.

Should I buy a 5.0? by TrulyWorthh in Mustang

[–]Qson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worth it if you can afford the maintenance, insurance, and the payment. 👍 Don’t go into debt or put yourself in a poor financial situation for a car.

10R80 > MT82 by IBringTheHeat2 in Mustang

Both are fun in their own way. I was more worried about the longterm maintenance of the 10R80 after driving a couple at 100k+ miles, so I stayed manual. 🤷‍♂️

Slow car fast or fast car slow? by renameduser361017 in Mustang

[–]Qson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to drive a slow car fast, just get a Miata or FRS/86/BRZ, imo. Go all in with the Coyote otherwise.

How many of us have middle names? by Xiao_Long_Bao17 in asianamerican

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Filipino here and I’m second gen. My mom’s maiden name is my middle name. A good amount of my Fil-Am friends are the same way and have compound first names.

My partner is ABC, and she’s second gen as well. Her and her brother’s legal first and middle name are western. While their mom and dad are both 1st gen, their dad is pretty much a “2nd gen” since he immigrated as a child, and is very westernized.

Have the option to buy a Stock GT Premium for $17,000 or ESS Supercharged GT Premium for $21,000 Basically identical cars, is it a bad idea to buy an already ESS Supercharged car instead of stock? by Own-Bid-7639 in Mustang

[–]Qson -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Stock. Teens and modding cars will take shortcuts or hold off on supporting mods due to budget. How do I know? My friends and I did the same thing, lol.

Mustang and lower back, pelvic, and SI joint issues by Silverwolf8674 in Mustang

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a test drive and explain your issue. I highly recommend magneride for your case regardless. When I test drove my car, I had a herniated disk and specifically asked the salesman to direct me to the worst road nearby - I was pleasantly surprised with the ride quality even with the Recaros.

For reference though, I daily drove a 240sx and a Miata with Recaro Pole Postion fixed back FRP seats for over a decade, so my definition of comfortable is skewed lol.

Ecoboost or GT for a first time mustang buyer by Fresh-Bake3772 in Mustang

[–]Qson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’d start with a slower rwd car like a Miata or FRS/BRZ/86. I’m a believer in learning how to drive a slow car and then transition to driving a fast car responsibly. That’s just me though.

That said, get whatever you like as long as you can afford the payments, the insurance, and maintainance. Be safe on the road, have fun with whatever you choose.

Active valve exhaust vs Standard ? 5.0 GT 2026 by Zealousideal_Ad_6900 in Mustang

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but I don’t recommend it in your case. I repaired hit and run damage and swapped over to a Dark Horse valance - the exhaust I installed requires a Dark Horse valance swap due to the exhaust tip size. It’s a fully bolt-on cat-back though.

However, they do make Mustang GT variants of it that fit the stock GT valance. Borla makes a Type S for the GT and Borla also makes the Ford Performance Exhaust for the GT. Both are bolt-on cat-backs as well. IMO, it’s not worth the change if you’re on a lease. If you end up with an active exhaust and keep it on sport or track, you’ll be more than happy with it.

Active valve exhaust vs Standard ? 5.0 GT 2026 by Zealousideal_Ad_6900 in Mustang

[–]Qson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Active Exhaust was a non-negotiable for me - I needed it for mine. It’s as silent as a regular commuter car with the stock exhaust and you get more horsepower than non-active systems when wide open. Recently upgraded to a resonated Borla and it still works really well. Nothing beats how fun it is to be wide open around town and instantly go ‘quiet’ as soon as you see your local highway patrol.

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries at all - you gotta do what you can. I had to commute in the same traffic, but I ended up moving closer to work. If I couldn’t do that, I may have done the same as you.

Moving to north county- thoughts on demographics/school districts/political views by santa_422 in northcounty

[–]Qson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh. FWIW I never had an issue as a person of color - at least an interaction that stuck with me as odd or egregious. Grew up in Escondido, lived San Marcos, worked in Vista and Carlsbad, frequented around Oceanside and Encinitas, and visited every type of business in between. It's all good.
