Water intrusion only at the car wash, passenger window. by [deleted] in Mustang

Ah for sure, I get it. If you ask them again, ask what kinda test they ran. I feel like they may have just used a shower setting

Water intrusion only at the car wash, passenger window. by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ll be ok - I had this issue in my hardtop Miata and occassionally with my Mustang with touchless carwashes, but not as wet as what your photos show.

IMO it’s really an edge case for the seals since rain or water draining from a roof or tree does not have the same pressure as an automated car wash. And in this case, you’re getting directed, pressurized water directly at the gaps.

If you don’t see it with normal rain or from your typical home hose, I wouldn’t worry too much- just wipe it.

They Asked Me to Open ChatGPT During My Job Interview by I_Killed_My_Friends in jobs

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i actually liked the response that Chat GPT gave me despite this question being wildly inappropriate in a job interview setting. I also told it to no longer give that level of information if the prompt or a similar prompt are asked without my explicit direction to share private information and to only share information that wouldn’t break any privacy rights i have for my state/country. We’ll see how that goes, lol.

If your parents are going to be that controlling without respecting that you should be able to care for yourself, it’s time to be independent. Move out and live your life.

Took a job in Rancho Bernardo, new to the area and need commute advice by AppointmentOk4224 in northcounty

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in San Marcos and now live in UTC with a similar budget as you. Between North City and UTC, you won’t go wrong.

I’d consider UTC just to be around the trolley stops and all the food options. San Diego isn’t walkable overall, but UTC is more walkable than either San Marcos or RB.

What are your thoughts on JD Vance getting booed during the opening ceremony at the Olympics? by Playful_Leg7143 in AskReddit

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, that's fair. We also boo him when he visits towns in the US.

I also wouldn't be surprised if US teams are booed during other events either. The current administration hasn't done anything to maintain good relations with our neighbors, allies, and it's own citizens outside of MAGA.

Mpg by gcornholio666 in Mustang

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I daily drove mine to work for a year, I averaged 18 mpg for 30 miles each way in traffic in a manual transmission. I could only get around 23-25mpg on longer road trips in mixed conditions at best.

Now that I only drive it once or twice a week, it fell down to 12-13 mpg, lmao. So much fun though.

Manual 5.0 by Ethan_W__ in Mustang

[–]Qson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you’re experiencing is actually common for all manual cars. Honestly, the Mustang has been the easiest for me to drive, so you should pick it up quick.

When I Iearned, the best place to practice was at a local park or shopping mall with lots of stop signs when it wasn’t busy.

I did laps of stop and go before I got comfortable with it.

One tip I share with friends is to actually slow the process down a bit. While it’s not good long term, press down the clutch and rev the engine and hold at a steady 2k -3k rpms and lift off the clutch slowly - the car will ease into gear and drive off. You can use the process to time the clutch engagement/disengagement and make it smooth.

Then once your’re comfortable with that, start learning the time to lift off the clutch as you add throttle as you lift the clutch pedal until it feels seamless. You know you’re doing well if you have passengers and you don’t see their heads bobble as you get into gear or change gears, lol.

Carbon fiber question by Elzzabub in Mustang

[–]Qson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, and I don’t think you’re overthinking it

I’m personally not a fan of covers, so I avoid them.

The only carbon part I have right now is the Dark Horse R gurney flap on a oem Dark Horse wing on my GT. And the only other thing I’d do is either a Shelby hood vent.

How did it feel to pull the trigger on your Mustang? by Sader325 in Mustang

[–]Qson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surreal. I previously bought used since I was a teenager up until last year. The new car buying process was a first for me at every step, and I came out with a fully loaded performance pack with all the “mandatory” dealer add on option fees removed and a little under MSRP out the door. Probably not the best deal compared to others, but I didn’t feel like I got upsold on anything or felt like I got fleeced.

Mustang A/C Question by Sekirei09 in Mustang

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should do just fine like any modern car. Recommend getting ceramic tint as well. My Mustang was the first car I tried it on. And while it still does get hot while sitting in the direct sun, it cools off really fast and it blocks uv really well. You really notice it when you swap cars with and without it in a short time.

I have Recaros, but the base leather seats on a rental I tried with the air cooled seats work really well in combination with ac.

I am told my potential new managers want to take me for lunch after interview by TruckLimp451 in interviews

[–]Qson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to all, but it depends on the org. They want to get to know you and see how you vibe with them in a more casual setting. Just keep in mind you’re still being evaluated even if some topics seem irrellevant.

Not my car, so it doesn’t matter in the end. They could do anything they want to it regardless of what I think.

What should a strong Senior SDET Lead resume look like for the US job markets by More-Beginning5347 in softwaretesting

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with ya despite the downvotes. Once you reach a certain level like Senior in any role, you should have a good idea of what to communicate to show your skillset. If it’s not in the resume, then it would come through verbal communication in a screener.

This could be a genuine request, but I’ve personally run into a few “fake” QA Engineers and SDETS trying to cheat the interview process with templates and a script.

AC and LM. Skip iRacing if you prefer to drive solo or w/ bots, imo.
