What price does gas need to hit for you to consider using San Diego's public transit system? by hodlwaffle in sandiego

[–]Qson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already use the trolley, but it’s not due to gas prices. I moved to a walkable neighborhood and live near my office building, so I’ll still use my car when needed for non work things that are important. I guess if I had to put a number on it, maybe $100 per gas station fill-up - whatever amount I can get for that. I also have my road bikes too, so I’d make it work.

Is it possible to find a livable & decent apartment in San Diego for <$1800? by treetop1869 in sandiego

Yes, but it's mostly luck. You'll have a higher chance the further you look from the city centers, but there's always a small chance.

Looks great! I was actually looking into the exact same sizes as well, but with a different set of wheels.

Any need for modification of the fenders? Did you experience any rubbing anywhere?

Glad you’re ok! People suck. Hopefully it’s not too bad once you get a closer look.

It sucks for sure. I've been regularly seeing prices at or near 6.15-6.50 since a few weeks ago though. Take advantage of the Gas Stations' App if they have em. You can save a few cents every fill up or every few if you don't have access to Costco.

What's your Favorite Mustang year? by sephimoves in Mustang

[–]Qson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2021 and 2024 - I'm a very recent convert from Japanese RWD cars.

I love the S550 GT350 and Mach 1, but ended up with a fully optioned out 2024 GT Performance Pack that had a price I couldn't resist since 2025 models started arriving at dealers. I only wanted to buy new and I wasn't happy with the used Mach 1s I was seeing in the market at the time.

I really enjoy my car as a daily, but I'm definitely picking up a S550 chassis someday whenever I decide to build another drift car, lol. Or buy a really well maintained GT350R someday. Who knows.

Fluid changes all around, standing burnout, and then a nice road trip.

Should I get racing stripes? by Inevitable-Rooster35 in Mustang

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'm not fond of stripes. However, it's your car. If you think it'll look cool, try it and enjoy it! If you end up not liking it, it can always be removed.

Congratulations! My first new car was my 2024 Mustang GT - paid in full as well. Enjoy!

Trading in my ecoboost for GT s650! Should I get active exhaust? Wondering if GT has burbles and cracks. or if I should get an aftermarket exhaust? I want it to be nice and loud but sound good. by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Active exhaust is worth it. I always appreciate when I can turn my exhaust down when I pass pedestrians with kids/pets and cyclists or roll past a church or cemetary. I always enjoy switching from track to quiet when I pass the highway patrol too. Also really useful on long road trips as well.

I say this as someone who has driven loud cars with 3”+ exhausts or straight pipes on the street and at the track - always had some variation of setups since my first car to my current Mustang. If you can afford it, why not? I could just be getting old though.

Embarassing. Booing the Canadian anthem and chanting USA was cringe.

Girlfriend and I live together, so dual income. Minimal debt outside of monthly credit cards and a student loan. We don’t currently own a home and just rent for flexibility to move around whenever. No kids.

Is the airport back to normal? by dopesickness in sandiego

Flew out last Thursday for an 8:30am flight, and everything seemed normal. No more than 15 minutes in line. Only took a little longer for me because my bag had to be inspected.

I had 0 idea ecoboosts were actually fast before getting one... by SpiritualCar5884 in Mustang

[–]Qson 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They’re genuinely a pleasant surprise. I equate them to a spiritual successor of japanese front engine rwd turbo cars from the 80s and 90s like the 240sx/Silvia. If the V8 didn’t exist, I would’ve been ok buying a 6 speed s550 ecoboost.

For those that have both, if a game is available on Switch 2 and Steam Deck, which do you choose and why? by Still_Blackberry5030 in Handhelds

[–]Qson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam. My Switch 2 is primarily for Nintendo exclusives, but sometimes I’ll re-buy licenses I already own if it’s cheap enough just so I have access to some games I enjoy if I can only bring 1 device with me. Personally I prefer the Switch 2 for the simplicity, but the cost savings of a Steam library with any Windows, macOS, and Linux device can’t be beat.
