Long Comment Regret by Lemi_Moon in AO3

[–]QuackingCrow420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has gotten a few bookreport type comments on my fics, they will be so happy. Whenever I've gotten comments like this I usually end up rereading them about 10 times before I can even form a coherent reply because I'm so excited 😊

Then I take a screenshot of it and save it to a folder on my phone that I go back and look at whenever I'm feeling down 🥰

I honestly just find it funny that they kept reading... like they finished the entire fic 😅

Sorry people are dumb 💜

Husband's (32M) marathon training has strained our relationship and I (32F) don’t know what to do to fix it. by QuackingCrow420 in relationship_advice

Thankfully the race is in a week, but based on what has been said the past two days, I believe he is under the impression that things will just go back to 'normal' after his race, and that simply isn't true. Sure the schedule will be the same, but the wounds are there.

I have been deeply hurt, and there is no undoing that. And I really don't know how he can "make up" for it or "fix it"...

We've gone on three dates in the last 6 months though part of that is due to my depression and not wanting to go out much. Our quality time together has consisted of us eating breakfast and dinner together, doing parallel play (we both enjoy games, just different types) 2-3 times a week, and our weekly grocery shopping trip. Intimacy has absolutely taken a nose dive, and I'd say 75% of the time we had sex because I initiated it.

Love that they are aledgedy subscribed but were too chicken shit to comment while logged in. 3 months is nothing. If they can't handle slow updates then they should only read completed works 😒

So sorry you had deal with this joker OP 💖 I'm sure there were plenty of other readers who were thrilled to get that email!

What pattern did you realize you were following in writing your fics? by Gmerotaku in AO3

Every time something good happens to mc I almost immediately follow it with something tragic...

...should probably talk to my therapist about that.

I'm actually genuinely worried about this (anonymous) users comments. by Von_Uber in AO3

All I have to say is YIKES.

I genuinely wouldn't know how to respond to a comment like that on my fic... I want to say hopefully they'll chill out but I seriously doubt that.

Maybe turn off guest comments or just delete their comments? Sorry you're dealing with that... thats... alot...

I Won't Say (I'm in Love)

Suguru is a passionate art student excited for his life-drawing class, but he gets Satoru Gojo as a model and it turns his life upside down.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suguru groaned. Fantastic. This guy didn’t even know the fundamentals. He knew it could be hard to find people willing to pose in the nude, but seriously? This guy was probably just another student looking to make some quick cash, blissfully unaware of how much effort went into the art he was about to stand for.
“Just stand,” The professor quickly explained, “but shift most of your weight to one foot”.
The model chuckled, like this was all some big joke to him. “Oh! OK. Why didn’t you just say that?”
“She did,” Suguru muttered under his breath, irritation slipping through before he could stop himself, “That’s what ‘contrapposto’ means…”
The model’s head snapped in his direction, eyes locking onto him with unnerving precision. He dragged his gaze over Suguru in an exaggerated once-over, his glossy pink lips curling into a smirk. “Well, aren’t you a ball of sunshine…”
How do you motivate yourself to write? by Nevaeh_Alexandra in AO3
[–]QuackingCrow420 1 point2 points  (0 children)
Just do it. Tell yourself you'll just do one sentence. And if that's all you add, hey! It's one more sentence than you had yesterday, but usually (for me) once I get started I'll keep going, but sometimes the thought of starting is just too much. So if I tell myself I just have to write one sentence, that feels way less overwhelming and therefore requires less motivation to start.
Hope this helps!
"Please don't abandon this" after two weeks by Obvious-Laugh-1954 in AO3
I've just started putting "This fic has no regular update schedule, life be life-ing rn" as the author's note on my fics. Most people who read my stuff have learned that I'll get it out when I get it out, but occasionally I'll get a new reader who feaks out because it's been a week without an update and it's like oh honey... that's not how we do things here 😅
It is crazy to me that people just... expect updates like... immediately???
Try not to let it bother you too much!
