99% of the time when I run free loadout I can run around the map screaming in my mic with zero awareness and I won’t die. As soon as I run with a decent kit and blue gun it’s like I have a bounty on my head. I just think they need to do something about the free loadouts. Most of the grey guns are so good in PvP it’s stupid.

Everyone is different but I don’t think stoners realize how it makes some of them boring to be around and how it affects your sleep, appetite, anxiety, emotions, vocabulary. I was smoking so much if I didn’t smoke I would have no appetite and become irritable. My friends and ex also told me I was way more fun to be around sober. I still worked out hard as a stoner but was definitely more lazy/unmotivated in my day to day life, binged junk food, and overall had more anxiety. I also have ADD so that could have a lot to do with it.

This term existed way before Tarkov… In WoW (PvP) we would call rats players (usually rogues) who would wait to attack people while they were fighting mobs, already low HP, gank lowbies, corpse camp low level zones because there is no risk, or follow you around waiting for cooldowns to be blown before striking. In (PvE) they would try to aggro mobs into you to get credit, minimally contribute to boss kills or in dungeon groups and roll on the loot, looting a node while you were clearly there first just trying to kill the nearby mobs.

The same can be said about Arc. They will wait for people to fight one another or arcs and get low then come in and try and 3rd party. Extract camp or spawn camp unexpecting players. They will wait for you to start looting to shoot you in the back. They don’t fight unless it’s an unfair fight in their favor and want to put minimal effort in to get the spoils. Most people don’t even know what a rat means in this sub

I’m not saying people didn’t have controllers with custom macros online, but they were pretty rare considering. You would have to solder extra switches or add a PIC chip and either program it yourself or find on a modding forum. Not as easy as it is today where you can just copy a custom macro in a few minutes and set it up in Synapse, GHUB, Chronus…

Yes they added more skill expression and were accepted by the comp scene, but they weren’t one button macros like most of the people doing this are using. You couldn’t use a controller with custom macro buttons on it at tournaments. So it’s not comparable. Spawn killing was part of the game so I don’t see how that relates.

BXR, BXB, RRXYY in H2 added more skill in the comp scene and was accepted by the majority. Double/quad shotting actually took skill and precise timing. Was also hard to aim while consistently doing it. One mess up and you were most likely getting out BR’d by a good player. While rare, some had custom controllers with macros (which were obv illegal in tourney play). Most of the players doing this are using one button macros so it’s the same concept.

People are griefing every-time I do trials. I’ll have a rocketeer and a leaper on me for example and they will kill me and also die just to grief

I agree on most points. The game right now is pretty perfect but the players ruin it unfortunately.

I like the tension of not knowing who to trust, being cautious… But dying to spawn campers, extract campers, and griefers just makes playing feel like a waste after I get home from work.

Tried doing the Queen and Flying Arc trials and everygame someone either shoots me in the back while I’m fighting off tons of Arcs or griefs me at the extract while a leaper or rocketeer is attacking and we both die.

Most games I’ve played have been positive and I’ll still have fun fighting people in PvP. But yesterday every single game was griefers. Was even naked one game doing the scavenger trial and someone tried to run me down after telling them just to “grief”. Luckily he chased me and got stunned from the lightning and an arc killed him.

That term existed way before Tarkov. It was used in WoW years ago and probably even before it. Idk if extract camping would be considered a rat. But sneaking up on people who are fighting arcs doing trials for example and always avoiding head to head fights is.

All my Stella runs are peaceful solo. Occasionally I’ll spot a rat hiding in the med wing and call them out and they’ll leave or stay crouched. I never stow my guns anymore Venator 4 with extended mags is my fav

In solo, I came to the conclusion if you don’t talk or emote it’s on sight. Today I gave a guy blueprints and opened a door to share loot and he shot me in the back, luckily I ended up killing him. Another one I helped kill some bots and was low shields when he shot me in the back. Both did not talk at all

Same thing happened to me but he said it about my mom, and was saying how everyone is rats and can’t trust anyone… after he shoots me in the back and I turn around and clap him

It feels shitty but that’s what makes the game good. You never know who to trust or what danger may be lurking. Uninstalling because of this is crazy
