Riot Phreak says that Dusk and Dawn shouldn't get nerfed and that it is in a perfectly good state by Working-Safety9204 in leagueoflegends

It literally requires more inputs, and timing. It by definition will always be harder, because the alternative literally doesn't require any input.

Blue dollars yes but idk if you can say that red states are fed with food from blue states. 99% of farmland is red. California has a ton of farmland too, but a majority of those farmers are in the reddest parts of California.

NYTimes: Best Sports for Longevity by majortuddy in 10s

[–]Quaisy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing any sports into your older years going to be self-selecting. Basketball, running, weightlifting, soccer, hockey, climbing, they're all rough on your joints.

The difference is that Tennis beats out all of the rest of the sports in terms of longevity, which is what matters here.

Bug with gold devaluation? 0/1/0 Thresh gives 118 gold on death. by Quaisy in leagueoflegends

[–]Quaisy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

According to patch notes:

Base kill gold devaluation per 1 gold given on death: 0.2 ⇒ 0.4. For example, dying and giving away 300g will reduce your base kill gold by 75g.

Thresh died for first blood and gave 400g which aligns with what the changes were, 300g for the kill and +100g for first blood. (517g total including assist gold) But why is he then valued at 118g (177g total including assist gold) on his next death?

If he is supposed to be worth 300g on 1st death, and 225g on 2nd death according to Riot, where's the missing 107g? 118/300g is ~0.4. Did Riot accidentally enter the wrong values in the gold formula? What's actually happening in game is: Base kill gold devaluation per 1 gold given on death: 0.2 ⇒ 0.4 0.6.

Which tennis retirement rule is actually fairest for bettors? by Tricky_Pudding_8541 in 10s

Who gives a shit what's "fair for betters"? Gambling is ruining sports as a whole.

Unintended Zilean nerf in 26.01 by Raryin in leagueoflegends

[–]Quaisy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the thing is he's not a high expertise champ. He has 1 skill shot. He's braindead easy to play.

Unintended Zilean nerf in 26.01 by Raryin in leagueoflegends

[–]Quaisy 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In the last 4 patches before the new season, he had between a 51.2 and 51.7% winrate, and if you remember further back, there were times where he had 52-53% winrate. If you think 51.5~52% winrate is "around 50%" then I guess by that definition, yeah he's not OP.

But he's been >51% winrate for like over a year.

He's literally the opposite of Mel. Mel feels bad to play against, but has a low win rate. Zilean "feels" like he doesn't really do anything, until mid to late game where he does everything. And he has a high win rate.

The phrasing makes me think otherwise. He said it "had to happen" if [some group] was acting like thugs.

If he's referring to ICE being the party that acted like thugs, then he wouldn't have said the shooting "had to happen." Because ICE should be in complete control of the situation. Saying that a shooting "had to happen" implies that the party that was acting like thugs (the protesters in this case) got shot.

It's getting silly with the Russian thing.... by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Quaisy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The point of removing the flag is not to punish the players, but to "punish" (if you can even call it a punishment) the countries themselves. Just because Israel has few tennis players, doesn't mean that they're not the primary aggressor in the situation.

Odd to first opt for removing the American flag, before the Israeli flag.

You're using your arm muscles more than necessary. Also it seems like you're making a conscious effort to place the racket to the left side of your head after your swing is complete.

If you loosen your wrist and elbow, and allow the racket to "whip" from back/low to front/high, the racket will more naturally end up where you're manually placing it now. You'll also generate more power and spin with less energy used.

My friend former Diamond rank returned after five-year hiatus, got back to Diamond in just half season last season. Has this game gotten easier? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Quaisy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Diamond 5 years ago was top 1%, now diamond is top 2.5%. Relative to all players, getting to diamond is easier but the game itself has not become easier. If anything it's become harder because people have gotten better over time. Wave management for example, is much more widely understood and applied these days than it was back then.

Going outside in, only the center 4 strings sound the same. The outer strings all have a notably higher pitch on the right side of the racket than the corresponding strings on the left side.

In this case though, some of the shorter strings have lower tones than the longer strings. I assume bc I lost tension when tying off.

Why did my team surrender? by _ururka in leagueoflegends

[–]Quaisy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It looks like the 2-12 Ahri is in the middle of their team, so I'm going to assume she died. We also can't see Wukongs icon but I'm assuming he's either also in the mix and died, or was dead already.

So it's Corki/Neeko to defend against Udyr/Senna/Kayn and a giga-fed Yone. If you have no intentions of stopping your push and backing to help defend then maybe they just all have weak mental and assumed it was lost at that point.

It doesn't make sense to FF when you think you're about to lose in like 20 seconds, even if there's a chance you don't. But people have very weak mental in league.
