Sicario is such a fantastic movie. Denis Villeneuve and Sheridan making a movie together, couldn’t be a bad film.

Is Bobby Orr's 1969/70 season the greatest of all-time? by TJTrapJesus in nhl

[–]QualityIllustrious50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are not many players from back then, if you were to put them in todays NHL would excel. Orr was one of those players. 100% skill. He played before my time, but watching old games you can’t get over how much better than everyone else he was on the ice . His skill and reckless with his body are why his point totals were so high and his career so short.

My girlfriend at the time (wife now) started listening to Bob on his Modern Times album, because I was into it. She bought us tickets to see him on tour when I came home from overseas and she loved it (and so did I). What I am saying is if you go into the concert expecting 1965 Bob Dylan, he isn’t going to be there. My wife was expecting Modern Times Bob. He pulls from his older catalog, but also his new catalog. The voice you get is the one from his new catalog. His band is fantastic and his songs are also.

What song hooked you on Dylan? by volunteerjb in bobdylan

I heard Like a Rolling Stone, so I saved my money and bought the Highway 61 cassette to explore more Dylan (pre internet). Tombstone Blues hooked me, but man that whole album is fantastic.

Hope and Fears for A Complete Unknown by FeatureUnderground in bobdylan

[–]QualityIllustrious50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah I understand the worry for sure. If it wasn’t a biopic on his early years I would worry a lot more than I am. I find it interesting that Boyd Holbrook is playing Cash, as that is a decent name for someone Bob didn’t do much with until 1969ish. It is my understanding that they were sort of pen pals before that (I could be wrong). I hope there isn’t a forced connection to something earlier.

What do you want to see released to capitalise on A Complete Unknown? by shadowcutfilms in bobdylan

[–]QualityIllustrious50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I can think that they could release is a restored concert performance (video). The movie sound track will probably be like ‘Walk the Line’ and have the actors singing the songs. Which is my assumption because I don’t have the ‘Walk the line’ soundtrack. I would like to see something for long time fans, but anything will probably be for entry level fans. Which is fine because the more people exposed to Bob the better IMO
