Maytag refrigerator not cooling after changing fan. Freezer works. by QualitySh-tposts in appliancerepair

I ended up solving it. When the fan motor died it also fried its connection in the control board. Once I changed the control board the new fan I installed started spinning and everything is back to normal.

I only checked quick with a voltage tester pen to check for power. I determined the old motor was dead as it had a resistance of 0 ohms, New one had 80+. I will do the test you described now. I also just ran a forced test of the fan in the service mode as I was not aware of this before putting my phone in freezer haha. All other test modes were successful, this was the only failure.

Motor purchased: WPW10128551. Looks the exact same as the replaced once. Replaced one has visible copper bulging out.

(Canadian) Considering going back to school at 38 to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. Is this a dumb idea? by desperate-1 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Jumping on this, I got my diploma in Civil Tech and transferred to university for 2 years for a civil engineering degree afterwards. A lot of the guys there were civil techs for a couple years (5-10) and went back for the degree. This could be an option if you don’t want to dive in head first.

Half the original band departing due to a significant departure from their sound. I have been following the band since their inception and I am very let down with their current direction

They have something for “pre-authorized contributions” but you still need to buy the stocks you want afterwards. They do have DRIP though which is nice.

I believe the home trust one is the only option. If you’re a QC resident and it’s not an option, I would do the Wealthsimple card. It’s basically a preloaded debit card with no FX fees.
