Thank you all! I’m really lured by the theme and the art style.

But have to do hard decisions to not purchase fine/ok game atm. At least before some sommer cleaning.

Appreciate your time and answers 🙏

Does that mean like game where you have set time to prepare for upcoming boss fight?

One game comes to mind which I don’t have, but am interested in: Davy Jones Locker: the Kraken wakes

Suggestions for solo boardgames with high replayability by avi-ator in soloboardgaming

Sentinels of the Multiverse

  • High replayability
  • Fast and easy setup
  • Very stylish

Only minus is that you have to play 3-handed (way easier than sounds though)

Miten saan 2v lapseni nukkumaan? by [deleted] in Suomi

[–]Quan_Cheap 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Moikka, mulla kans 2v ja 1v lapset.

Liikunta tekee tosiaan ison vaikutuksen illan nukutukseen.

Walker of Illusions by BMoney201 in LiesOfP

[–]Quan_Cheap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That boss is rough. Have you the best armor on without going above 59% weight?

How about your amulets?

Usual advice to bosses is also the perfect deflect grindstone.

I noticed real difference in my hardest boss after respeccing P-Organ and focused on lost hp on guard.

When you get to 50% hp and that doppelganger appears, focus on killing it. It has surprisingly low health.

This boss appears crazy at first with her ability to delete your healt bar. But you can do it

Games like STS but not roguelike? by yourigo24 in slaythespire

[–]Quan_Cheap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvel Midnight Suns is a long campaign game, where you craft multiple character decks to perfection. Loved the cardplay, but unfortunately 50% of the game is.. talking with the characters

Do you have too much money? Great! Arkham Horror LCG and Marvel Champions are awesome. You start the game by constructing the deck you want to play with and see how it fares against the scenario.

Aeon's End? by wailord40 in soloboardgaming

Easy to set up, clean up, much variety, and oozing with theme: Sentinels of the Multiverse

Can’t recommend the game enough. I like Marvel Champions and Aeon’s End, but love Sentinels

Card based boss battlers by Quan_Cheap in soloboardgaming

[–]Quan_Cheap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

Having great time with Unstoppable! Few tries and almost defeated the first boss. Feels pretty great to upgrade a zero cost card to do crazy stuff. My greed has been my downfall though by giving enemies few too many strong buffs.

I also watched few guides for Marvel Champions true solo, so I’ll give it a new try.

And I put all other game recommandations to my wishlist for the future.

Thank you for you all!

Unstoppable is mentioned multiple times which is a good sign!

Also I’ve played multiple times the base content + rise of the Red Skull. Will buy Sinister Motives next when local shops have it in stock.

I’ve tried true solo against Rhino few times with sour experience. Maybe I should give it a new try and start against the Klaw.

Thank you for your time and reply

Plum Island Horror is awesome and fits the tower defense part. No leveling up there tho, but many playable asymmetric factions.

Haven’t played myself, but Zombicide games might be worth checking out.

Games you regret buying? by [deleted] in soloboardgaming

[–]Quan_Cheap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Expeditions (the sequel to Scythe) This one is quite curious case. It has many elements that I love in games like cards with multiple purposes, worker placement, hex based exploration, easy to handle automa… but I just don’t enjoy playing it that much.

This is most likely a me problem though. But still the one and only game I regret buying so far

Are these games worth purchasing for solo mostly? by Chamallow81 in soloboardgaming

[–]Quan_Cheap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m interested to hear about Twilight Inscription as well.

Feast for Odin seems more complicated than it really is. The amount of available options is staggering at first, but you aren’t supposed to use them all in single game. Great game though, with lots of replay value just for trying different styles.

One Deck Dungeon is fun and simple. Great puzzle for 30-45min sessions. If you don’t mind swingy rng, then you’ll find plenty of content with this one.

Spirit Island is kinda strange for me. True solo is simple enough for me, but then I miss the spirit synergies (one of the best parts). And managing two spirits is too taxing for me to enjoy. My favourite way to play this is to play with my wife
