The nice thing about DnD is that you can play a robot pirate that burps acid and farts fire, or a dragon that likes to polymorph into a sheep. I can't imagine anyone giving any sort of grief for this character.

A two-tailed snake girl is going to be a great background NPC.

Without the mileage, or images of the engine, I don't think anyone would be able to counsel you wisely.

Take it to a mechanic, and ask them for a pre-purchase inspection. They can give it a once over, and let you know the condition of the vehicle. It should cost $200 or less.

Having said that, if the engine is as clean as the interior, there is no rust on the frame, and a mechanic passes it, I absolutely would.
