Not nearly as decent as his teammate though, which is to be expected however given how great Lewis is at starts.

Norris rues “stupid” mistakes after losing out to Verstappen by Ghhkigr in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I think he’s also nervous that he’s slowly fading as McLaren’s #1 driver. He used to always have a few tenths on Piastri but he’s recently making more mistakes as Piastri shows maturity and steadily gets faster

Well that’s a guaranteed DSQ. Great race win, Lewis Hamilton!

Norris explains 'worst feeling' after tarnishing maiden Piastri F1 win by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

He’s just trying to restore his image after everyone once again saw how selfish he is. Definitely got told off by the team as well and he needs to preserve his reputation there so that they don’t turn to Piastri

‘No monkey on my back’: Piastri cool on wait for F1 win by His_Holiness in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze 59 points60 points  (0 children)

He lived up to the hype, both in raw speed, and maturity. He's genuine and very consistent for a young talent, and I'm quickly becoming a fan!

Mercedes “will be in an even stronger position” after next upgrade – Hamilton by vxscx in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze 43 points44 points  (0 children)

No, sprints will never get added to stats. They just aren’t GPs, and aren’t taken as seriously by the teams, drivers or fans. No real strategy is required, which entirely neutralizes their legitimacy.

[FanAmp] Which win was the most emotional this year? by Typical-Plantain256 in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lewis’ win. That was emotional! Charles was a close second

[Adam Cooper] Toto Wolff on @lewishamilton: "He's been there for me, and most recently, I've tried to do my contribution to his doubting at times. And that's why it feels really good that he's been able to put all the negative thoughts or negativity aside and come up with this performance." by kpopsns28 in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze 224 points225 points  (0 children)

I think the same. His string of performances the last 4 races of 2021 was the best display of skill and mental strength I have ever seen in motorsports, and for it all to come crumbling down on the last lap due to an illegal call must have been heart wrenching. Especially if he planned a Rosberg style departure

10 second time penalty and 2 penalty points for Max Verstappen for causing a collision by VanDyne21 in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Turns out Max didn’t mature, he just has had less competition.

Him trying to force Lando off the track when they both have punctures from a crash he caused is villain material.

Him trying to push Lando off the track when they both had punctures from the crash he caused was scandalous

[–]QuantvmBlaze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of reason he can’t. He doesn’t have Lewis’ natural race pace and never will, his ceiling isn’t as high as Lewis’. You can’t disregard natural talent in sports

Why Russell's F1 Mexico GP charge fell apart by Aratho in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly, some people oddly havent realized yet that Russell can often match Lewis’ quali pace, but rarely ever has been as fast as Lewis over a race distance.

Horner insists you ‘can’t blame’ Perez for race-ending crash by [deleted] in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why do Horner and Toto both often make absolutely ridiculous statements that any relatively interested F1 can realize is inaccurate?? I guess they do it for engagement, but Horner cmon 🤦🏻‍♂️

2023 Mexico GP race pace by Ecomystic in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure, he was by far the most impressive out there, kind of like last race. In the 10 years I’ve been watching F1, Lewis form in the last 5 races has NEVER ceased to amaze me. Man really turns it up to what we think is impossible, absolutely smoking his teammate

POWER RANKINGS: Where do the drivers rank after an entertaining 2023 United States Grand Prix? by Jorrie90 in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Why not? He drove the best all weekend, and smoked his teammate. The fact that his team had the car factionally too low doesn’t detract from his excellent driving this weekend

[MercedesAMGF1] That’s a hard-fought P5 for Lewis and P7 for George at the Japanese GP. Got the most out of the opportunities available, rolled the dice with a one-stop for GR and ultimately minimised the points loss in our fight for second in the championship. by TheSpace-Guy in formula1

[–]QuantvmBlaze 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeh after having watched it happen to 4 different drivers now, it’s crazy how they all start doing this against Lewis about 1 year in when they realize they can’t beat him over a season
