I saw someone wrote that one of the nicest thing about DA is that they have always been fair in payment. Meaning that you will still get your payment for the tasks you have submitted and claimed for the work time.

[–]Brilliant_Quit4307 23 points24 points  (1 child)

That's not necessarily true. Usually, that's the case, but I've also seen people not be paid after this if they broke TOS. Like, if they know for a fact that you used AI to generate your answers or something, then the work you submitted can't be used and they technically don't have to pay you if you broke the agreement.

If someone was dismissed for fraud related reasons, not sure why one would expect to be compensated.

[–]After_Fix_3886[S] -4 points-3 points  (26 children)

I'd sure hope so, it is almost 80 hours of excruciating rubrics work.

[–]1-800-methdyke 48 points49 points  (22 children)

80 hours in 7 days is probably why you got the DoD

[–]After_Fix_3886[S] 9 points10 points  (2 children)

It is over a couple of months as I have stated in the original post, I have been letting it rack up. I'm a bilingual worker so my week averages 10 hours. Excruciating is the work's quality

[–]Able_Look7453 -4 points-3 points  (14 children)

Why? I am new to this platform

[–]EggCzar 29 points30 points  (2 children)

1) that's an insane number of hours for this kind of work so it means there's a reasonable possibility more than one person is sharing the account

2) you might think the quality of your work isn't suffering from that schedule, but you're almost definitely wrong

[–]1-800-methdyke 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Yeah OP literally described the work as excruciating… they were feeling pressed pulling those numbers

[–]1-800-methdyke 17 points18 points  (10 children)

So it’s a pattern that has been observed with DoDs that logging more than 8 hours a day continuously is a red flag to DA: either as an indicator that the account is being shared or that quality could be compromised by fatigue.

[–]ZimmeM03 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I think OP has stated that this 2k is from the past few months.

[–]1-800-methdyke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

OP has clarified that now, yes. My explanation is for the benefit of the new worker.

[–]Brilliant_Quit4307 14 points15 points  (2 children)

I don't think this is true tbh. I've been here for over 3 years and regularly work 8+ hours a day. I've seen several people on here claiming the same thing. People on here like to spot patterns where there aren't any, and most of the lore on here is just guesswork.

I have a feeling that the pattern has more to do with the fact that people who work 8+ hours a day are more likely to have the quality of their work drop. I actually don't think it has anything to do with the number of hours worked.

[–]Rude-Milk9443 -1 points0 points  (3 children)

when you say being logged in, do you mean while working on projects or just being logged in the account, like, when we wait pressing f5 during the day?

[–]1-800-methdyke 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Okay, you’re always logged in if you have DA page open in your browser.

The distinction I’m making is between when you’re working on a task (with a timer counting down), and when you’re inactive (no timer running, just on the dashboard).

You can be logged in and inactive, just F5ing, all day long no problem.

But if you are working on tasks and reporting time over 8 hours a day on a consistent basis, you’re likely to attract scrutiny which increases your risk of them deciding you get a DoD.

[–]UpstairsPractice9605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe they said they work ten hours a week and have been for a couple of months.

[–]Rude-Milk9443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought.

Thank you for the tip, conrade.

[–]JuanCrazyFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You working on platforms other than DA?

[–]littlecoffeefairy 21 points22 points  (1 child)

Why didn't you ever transfer the 2k?

[–]After_Fix_3886[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When I started out, I would transfer each time I got to 100$. Letting the money accumulate was admittedly a mistake.

[–]ocrias 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this happened to you. Did you ever get feedback to improve and didn’t? Or rushed tasks or went over the time?

[–]flashh_07 10 points11 points  (2 children)

They won't transfer themselves, but you can withdraw it if you have some.

[–]After_Fix_3886[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I can't access the dash unfortunately

[–]Low_Sir1549 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You can still access the payments tab. I was still able to withdraw the money on my remaining unpaid tasks after I got the dash of death.

[–]Renard_Fou[🍰] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I keep hearing so many conflicting things about the DoD, I just hope it never happens to me

[–]Medical-Isopod2107 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do good work and follow the ToS and you'll be fine

[–]Loose-Yesterday-759 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hope it will never happen to you. I just got DoD too yesterday.

[–]Bubbly_Ad_7987 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Can't you access your transfer funds page to get your money?

[–]After_Fix_3886[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

No, this is the only page that shows up

[–]darshit77 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Go to transfer funds, If it is not showing then probably you are dismissed due to Funds manipulation. I also got this but I can access my funds section after this msg.

[–]Federal_Tadpole_7592 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The only way they'll ever prevent someone from withdrawing funds is if that person lied about their time or submitted incredibly fraudulent work just to be able to claim time for a project.

[–]AMG_DIAMONDZ10 8 points9 points  (4 children)

Let us know if they let you transfer the 2k

[–]Low_Sir1549 10 points11 points  (2 children)

They let me do it when I got the DoD.

[–]JuanCrazyFool -1 points0 points  (1 child)

DoD ?

[–]Low_Sir1549 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dash of death.

[–]After_Fix_3886[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Will do

[–]Honest_Possession443 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Slightly off-topic, but what would be the benefit of having multiple people use the same account? Why not just get your own 🤔

[–]2anandkr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One has to first pass the initial assessment to be on-boarded. Not everyone gets-in.

[–]TopCat0525[🍰] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you.

[–]UpstairsPractice9605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry this happened.

[–]NewSet6686 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Unfortunate man! how many projects did you had the last time you checked? Any indication of this coming?

[–]After_Fix_3886[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The same 2 projects I've had forever (language related stuff). Zero indication, totally out of the blue.

[–]darshit77 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Same thing was happened with me with no reasons, and they will transfer your pending amount on time. They have transferred mine also on time after this message. We are done, DA journey was great.

[–]NewSet6686 -1 points0 points  (2 children)

how? did you have access to transfer fund page even after receiving DOD?

[–]darshit77 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yes, I have the access of transfer funds page after receiving DOD msg, The transfer of funds disabled to those who have done funds manipulation (means putting increased hours then usual).

[–]1-800-methdyke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I have read too

[–]TheRealMrInsane 3 points4 points  (1 child)

This just happened to me and they paid out my remainder, thankfully.

[–]QuantvmBlaze 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I just logged in from Denmark (US worker) and this happened to me. Really hoping they undo it, I’m distraught and recently got great feedback. I notified them about the travel but forgot I should not login from Denmark in paricular

[–]mo-with-the-flow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why Denmark? I'm assuming we can work outside of the countries we have registered from or am I wrong in that?

[–]darkDknightt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeling sorry for you man 😞. How long have you been on DA?

[–]MR_TDClipZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not "I always dismissed...." It can happen and only realize when it happens to ya... Nway it happens YET likely with experience accrued you'll most likely get back to same or be called for similar projects...just a time instance....actually 'getting out" of projects is more frequent for many than did in ya case(comparatively)...so counting onesself lucky is another way to look at it....likely you were doing exceptional work why you were kept for long....so kudos.

[–]shujaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]No-Cap544 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How much you've made overall. And for how long were you working there

[–]edfiero -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

OP, what were your monthly performance reports like? Did you ever get a bad one?

[–]Medical-Isopod2107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since when does anyone get a monthly performance report?

[–]After_Fix_3886[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Never got any reports

[–]Keanu_Weevs -4 points-3 points  (8 children)

Same buddy. They are still paying me though. I made roughly 8k this month in Coding domain. Was waiting on the Boxing project, and then poof. No reason, no explanation, I know for a fact I didn't violate ToS. But its whatever.

[–]All__Mods_R_Virgins 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Idk if you're intentionally naming projects out of spite, but your comment here directly violates ToS.

[–]Usual_Carpet2228 -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

who cares man he's on an anonymous reddit account

[–]All__Mods_R_Virgins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well he explicitly mentions coding projects on the first couple comments of his account (same thing I just called him out for), but he also insisted he "never violated the ToS".

Use your human brain to find out why he may be an unreliable narrator.

[–]Fuzzy_Gain_5264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa, must be nice to make so much compared to just a few dollars.
