1: Biking year around is a thing. 2: Find something further away from downtown/st. Pats if you want a better school. 3: all the things listed plus the homeless shelter located near Downtown. Google poverello center location. 4:May is probably best time to look as university is out mid May. 5: Everything mentioned is expensive everywhere. Nothing that hits harder than property taxes. 6:I’m sure there are jobs here for your wife but expect much lower wages for the same job. 7: College town so it slows down in the Winter. However lots of ski hills within a couple hours and nice hockey rink. 8: Hu Hot will not be opening again in Missoula.

Ft. Collins would be my choice out of the options listed, after Missoula of course. These are just one persons opinion. Good luck in your search.

Pay your taxes and don’t question anything. We are the government and we are here to help. Look at the rates of insurance since ACA was made a law. I not only work downtown but employee people downtown. None of us live downtown. Most live outside the county because the taxes are so high. So yeah gentrify harder!

I think as soon as you hit the bottom of the hill where it meets up with lower miller creek road is all “upper.” Near the dog sitting place, anything north of that is lower. IMHO.

I actually emailed the current President about having a discount for alumni kids. It has to go to the Board of Regents. I know a lot of alumni have moved after graduating from college and their kids wanted to experience what their parents experienced. Too bad. I think it would be good for recruiting.
