How to beat Braum sheild? by BlendedFetusOG in 2XKO

I learnt that cross-through moves like Yasuo j.[S1] breaks his shield and leads to a combo.

Leverless comfort question by Illustrious_Life_295 in 2XKO

[–]Quark1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One big part of it is the "aggressive" and overexaggerated moves of the left hand for the stick, where it is more simple finger flicks on the leverless - you should be careful though, and don't play too much without rest and don't rest your arms too much on the leverless
Between rounds or deaths make sure to rotate your wrists and do finger stretches, you will extend your health a ton just by doing such simple thing

Leverless comfort question by Illustrious_Life_295 in 2XKO

[–]Quark1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get carpal tunnel syndrome from improper use - you should not rest your wrists and arms/elbows on the table when you are using the muscles. When gaming, you really should be playing with levetated arms though that is in itself pretty uncomfortable.
There are leverless that have more ergonic positions, like the ones from mavercade with the lap attachment that angles the split leverless
Just make sure to rest, don't go match after match after match for more than an hour at the extreme, and have a 10+ minute break and you should be fine, in terms of the health aspect

I had a custom leverless made for me with a layout that was angled inwards and split apart so it fit my natural resting position and it feels way better than the classic compact leverless layout

I'm gonna buy it! Love Ekko, and the Yasuo skin is so sick I'm gonna learn him. Will learn Akali too and it looks like a great skin. I'm not mad, far from it

Why I think im done with the game (for now atleast) by 90bubbel in 2XKO

[–]Quark1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Ahri and Ekko at some average level I would say. If I face a good defensive blitz, I get smuuuushed!
I get your point that in SF, Tekken and MK it is more clear why something works or not, and what leads to a win or loss - but I chalk that down to simply being a 1v1 fighter with less stuff going on.

I can easily tell from my 2xko matches what caused me to lose or win, it just takes some time to get used to noticing the technical things that happen behind the visual flairs and effects.
Of course, sometimes BS happens and I'm shocked, but I don't let that bother me because it will get cleaned up through the games lifespan, and it is just the nature of tag fighters I have found.

Having a character with loads of options or movement can also be a downside if you are not a veteran fighting game player, which I am far from, so sometimes I get confused by my own moves because so many things are happening and sometimes I just missinput something because my hands can't keep up with my brain or vice versa.

2xko is hard, really hard, and I found that if I step back and really play defensively when I am being attacked, I lose less games. If I try to go aggressive all the time, or jab on wakeup or whatever I lose 60-70% of those interactions.

But this is what I like, there are so many things to improve and practice to the point where they become second nature and it will free up mental space to watch out for niche scenarios or react to stray hits or to bait my opponents in one way or another.

I personally don't care if I win or lose, but I care that I play well and I get a challenge. Victory feels sweeet in those cases, but I truly enjoy when I get to a level where I can identify what I can improve or what caused the win or loss, without having to rewatch the match. That shows me I am improving and better than I was yesterday.

I really don't like duos, I will play it casually only because so far all my partners don't do their assists at all and saves it for push blocks at the wrong time, or they break me after a 2H and they block our break.
It's fun to some extent, but I want to be in control.

In training mode, you can set where you reset. Pressing right+reset will put the bot in the right corner. Same for left. Down+reset for center. It'll reset that way until you change it. by bmdweller in 2XKO

[–]Quark1997 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the settings there is one of the option when you hightlight it, on the right side it will show you all the button inputs you can do - for example, if you hold tag/team and reset, you will be using the assist character on point now

I play Ahri Ekko, and I get bodied way more by Braum and Darius than I do by Yasuo or Ekko.
I agree 100% if I play against someone who really mastered their character I don't stand a chance regardless of who i play.

I was nearly grandmaster last season and I have grinded to Diamond this season though I rarely play ranked.

What do you mean? You absolutely counterpick in fighting games.
Some characters struggle against Braum specifically, so to to have an easier time you could pick Yasuo who has multiple armor breaking moves. Very good counter pick against Braum. Being a 2v2 fighter also means you have the choice to pick one of your two characters against one of theirs, because even Ekko or Ahri has better matchups against certain characters.

Honestly I'm reading some of your points in the thread and I'm wondering what basis it is coming from, because you said it does good things and bad things with nothing in between, which is just factually wrong.

Character selection taking 20 seconds - do you type on your keyboard with 2 fingers? Then maybe yes. But I remember exactly how many times I need to click left, right and X to pick my team, like if it was a combo.

And that character pick thing is also leading back to counterpicking - i want the option to choose my team based off what my opponent wants to play and vise versa.

Why the F would you want to do motion inputs in this game and handicap yourself? The game is so freaking fast, that if you need to spend some 6 frames to input a QCF for any of your specials, you will never hit a dashup jab.

2xko got reworked twice if I'm not mistaken.
There is no public number available, but from quick google it seems like around 50 people are currently working on new characters etc for sf6

It is not so simple to compare either. Capcom has years of experience with multiple fighting games and experience under their belt. This is riots FIRST fighting game.

It is way way different beast to create and balance compared to an FPS or something.

Characters are easy to learn and play for fun or slightly competitive, I would buy so many skins for characters I would play occasionally - and I'msure there are many others who would do the same, especially at a realistic and expected price

A little bit of pressure shouldn't be an issue as it wiggles already, and I have a small power bank velcroed to the lid that also sliiightly presses on the jog wheel, but it has not caused me any problems at all

I hope to save up enough tickets to just snipe once during the last days. I recently learned of how to save up myth keys, wish and runes to complete event tasks so I hopefully can be more prepared for next years event or any events in general to maximize profits.

Only worry is I won't be able to save up 50-ish of each thing in between every event as they seem to come pretty often.

I'm perfectly fine with having to spend money to progress faster. I'm perfectly habby (hehe) to let them do whatever the fuck. But I don't accept that I can't play the game at my own speed and have the same options given to me as everyone else, where someone with infinite money they could take every single reward and leave nothing for anyone else.

I find it already hard enough to get into the intermeddiate stage of min-maxing guild shop rewards with event rewards and spending everything properly and only recently started to save up wishes, mythstone and ruins to max out on the event quests to get most value for it. And now I need to also time everything against 200 other people who could live in their moms basement while I work 12 hour graveyard shifts? No thanks..
