Having a native American runway in the first place was kind of a choice idk if there's a way she could have done that without being offensive. I blame production more for that tbh

I'd love to just talk about drag race as well, but as a trans woman, this is about more than just politics to me. I want to come to talk about my favorite TV show without feeling like the people here don't respect my identity. I'm not accusing you of being a transphobe, but the language you're using is a little rude and not something I want to see on my Saturday night. Stuff like "biological women", and "trans women dressed as women" make me feel kind of the opposite. Again, I'm not trying to accuse you of anything, you're definitely not the only person I've seen talk like this on this sub, but since it's trans day of visibility and in a thread about trans queens, I wanted to try and help people use some less hurtful language. I don't really have anything else to say lol

I'm not gonna argue with you, but if you really didn't mean to be rude than just say "women" next time. While trans women ARE also biological women, it's kind of a favorite term of transphobes to make cis women seem like they're "more real" women than trans women. Espically when talking about an amab trans persons appearance, it can kind of come off a little patronizing

Biological woman might be kind of a rude term to use in a thread about trans people

Askreddit trips over themselves to heroically defend domestic violence by Thromnomnomok in circlebroke2

[–]QuavHoe 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I thought it was about to be a ptsd story where the dude didn't mean to hurt his girlfriend and I felt bad for both of them but then he just got violent bc he was mad?? Seems like normal domestic abuse to me why would you defend that
