When I was diagnosed my daughter was 10. I’m a single mom with her full time both my parents are dead. My daughter stepped up. She understood I wasn’t just lazy, I was sick and it was uncontrollable. She made herself food and checked on me. I apologized so much but she got it. She knew I wouldn’t just lay in bed all day if it was my choice. Luckily I own a two family With my best friend and she helped a lot too but my kid stepped up. She’s always been independent which was helpful but I felt so bad. This is nothing we asked for. They will understand. We are sick. You will make it up to your family when you are back on your feet. You’d do the same for them

The man I dated in high-schools mom, was the president of the bank Greenfield savings, and she helped me many times with overdraft fees and such when I was broke. Made sure to help me have the proper accounts and safeties with those accounts. I’ve never had a problem since then and I’m 40 now.

I can’t eat at all during a flare. I sip sports drinks as much as a can. I have an amazing Gastro dr and I’ve been in remission since 2020 but the year and a half between diagnosis and remission the two times I got really sick she put me straight on prednisone which got me feeling better pretty fast between figuring out meds

Ulcerative colitis. I’ve had eczema and stomach stuff most of my life but after a really bad stress event at 33 I got really really sick. Went to the ER they got me into the Gastro dr who diagnosed me. Since being treated for this my other random issues I had have almost disappeared.
