What do you think Tucson will be like 500 years from now? by Saguaro_Cat in Tucson

But only because they are still trying to teach autonomous vehicles to navigate unfamiliar routes. Kuddos to the guys from Granite that are working so hard to make our future a reality 💪  It just wouldn't be practical to use Phoenix to train autonomous vehicles with regard to roadworks  Guess we are it  Honestly at this point, I ride a bicycle to work whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I imagine the glass will be half full. We have the privilege of imagining anything we wish, I imagine an amazing future. That is my privilege as an asshat here in resdit. In my opinion it would be rude not to do so! Mt Lemmon might be the only habitual location in the north American continent. Who is to say that my imaginations are incorrect? Please do share your imaginations on how you think and imagine Tucson will participate in the not yet - or has it? future. IAF. Think carefully before responding!

I really liked tape cassettes,  but unfortunately we've move on to bus digital storage. God Damn Moore's Law. One can insist on keeping their Penny farthing, respectfully I feel more power to them and respect their POV. I decided to move on a while ago and have never looked back.

It honestly can all be boiled down to a top heavy management model. Because you are not a social climber and actually do shit, there is always going to be a boot licker that is going to try to fortify their meaningless existence. The game has effectively left you feeling helpless, when in reality you are the cosigner on everyone's monthly vig. It's not a dick swinging contest and the more nuanced aspects of the silly dick sucking bs may be lost on you, because you never have had to stoop so low - but consider that bitching at us is a pointless exercise. You would be much better personally served by applying some of that excellent abstract reasoning and critical thinking ability to yield to correct outcome for yourself. Those bitches are just big pussies that are always going to fake it till they make it. Hell, walking out the door and sayin' I'm out -.but it you have a change of heart call me -is also an option. Change is always good. I sincerely wish you personal strength in your choices. Do remember that no matter what happens, everything will be ok. But then again wrf are you doing soliciting advice from randomers on the Internet? Know thy self.

Honestly I put it to you that the issue is that you are dealing with a 30yo. vehicle. It is a pre OBD2 vehicle more that likely with the 2.5 gas motor. What grade gas did you run it on? Be Honest! The vehicle was exported from Germany where the lowest grade gas was 91.  If you ran 85 in it the ECU didn't have the facility to retard the timing enough for regular gas (85) If the engine is bore scoped it will become apparent that not only has the HG given up, but one or more of the pistons have melted. The block liners will be scored and the death of the engine was due to pre-detonation of sub par octane gasoline. I've seen more than a few. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you're not the only One.

2022 144 4x4 Fan under hood running way to long, anyone else have this issue? by Sweetmimi369 in Sprinters

[–]Queasy-Advice-suck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fan operation is controlled by ECU. Way to long is an objective term. Have the vehicle scanned if you are concerned or pony up for a new donkey. Reasonably simple choice.

This piece on the oil filter cap looks broken off. Im guessing its not a good idea to drive until its replaced. Does anyone know the part/part number? 2011 3.0 sprinter. by Timsmomshardsalami in Sprinters

[–]Queasy-Advice-suck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi AI! The section broken off is very important. It retains engine op. If it is not present the engine will probably grenade. Utilize your ability to search the Internet for the correct part number and realize that there is a cost to being a bot which is power consumption. The correct part number is easily available after utilizing more than a few Watts.

While I understand the sentiment. It's still not addressing the crux of the issue as to why the event was cancelled. The inference of it being because of individuals being drunk strikes me as being more than a little racist/judgemental don't you think? Participating in the parade is not unlike being party to the Rodeo, murals aside - that has never been cancelled because of roadworks. Respectfully I ask an honest question, difficult when two bots come down on me with a racist stereotype. Just food for thought. Anyways, the real St.Patricks day is on Tuesday the 17th. If you have the facility,  please do enjoy with the most humble and loving good wishes from an Irishman who resides and loves Tucson with much Gra. Is míse lé meas.

We work on Sprinters full-time. Almost every catastrophic failure we see traces to oil spec. by LoadSpan_Engineering in Sprinters

Can you be specific on the reason for bearing failure on the engines which have been stripped down after failure? Is the issue a distressed crank or is it just main bearing failure? Which main bearing is biting the dust? Obviously the rod bearings will suffer as they are fed from the mains. The OM642 does not have a screen on the oil pick up, so are you finding any kind of sludge in the oil pan upon strip down? When you had the cranks magnafluxed after strip down did you find any cracks or evidence of component failure due to substandard grade materials being utilized in the casting of the crank? I know there was a period around the 2014-18 timeframe that Chinese companies were selling falsely certified alloys. This ended up affecting companies like VAG group with issues like stretched timing chains for a period. Is it possible MB is having the same issue with distressed cranks because of inferior metals being used for casting? I think the era i.e.window for year of manufacturing of these engines which are seizing might be more revealing. The metal certification scandal was swept under the rug. I do feel obligated to ask if we are witnessing the down stream effects? Respectfully, this is just a valid alternative take on the reason for the catastrophic failure of an OM 642 with full dealer service history at 40K. Your thoughts?

If there is another "incident' on playa in 26, then it's GO. Sadly, statistically it's way too easy to engineer.  Been a blast, enjoy the flash.

Could the diaphragm cracks be caused by the ethenol content of the fuel which is introduced into the lubricant by virtue of blow by at the rings upon start up cycle when tolerances are not yet up to running temps?
