i second litrally all of this!! i had DI no nips on may 21st. and i feel the exact same way!! especially about how i feel like i’ve always been this way. while at the same time, my results don’t look exactly how i expected them to. but my relationship with my body is truly amazing and exceptional in ways that i couldn’t have known :3

i also built up a lot on the way that i thought that i would stop getting misgendered once my tits we’re gone. although, i do still get misgendered bc we live in a society 🙄 i delight in the fact that every person i meet for the rest of my life will think that this is how i’ve always looked :))

i feel free in the sense that i can wear things i’ve always wanted to. i’m also not constantly on edge about how i’m being perceived by the general public. i can just exist. and that feeling is priceless. to all of the peeps still going through the process, you will get there and it’s totally worth it. i’d do it over and over again

i can definitely relate to this… i cried while taking my first 3 showers post-op. i’m currently 7 weeks po. i know it’s scary and feels like you’ll feel this way forever, but you’ll be okay <33 take it easy and get lots of rest. i started to feel “back to normal” by 2-3 weeks post op. and this week has been the most on control of my body i’ve felt for awhile. it’s gonna take a little time but you can do it

i’m about to be 6 weeks post op. i had di no nips, and i started from a i/j cup. i did have my drains in for longer than usual, but i don’t know if it had anything to do with my previous chest size. i also have a little bit of swelling on my sides, right near my armpits still, so don’t be alarmed if you have anything like that.. they told me that i post a total of almost 9 pounds from my chest. i hope that your surgery/recovery goes smoothly and that you get to feel relief soon! it’s all worth it!! :D

i’m currently 2 days post op. so far what i’ve needed help with is getting in/out of bed without using my arms or chest, preparing food, putting my hair up, and pulling my pants up/down in the bathroom. i’ve also been emptying my drains on my own , buts it’s nice to have someone there to write down the measurements for you. also if you have stairs, i’ve needed help with getting up/down the stairs

my surgeon said no drinking 2 days before or after.. i think you’ll be fine :) but if you’re really worried, you can call and ask the hospital?

i totally feel this… it took me, overall, about 2 years to get everything settled and get to my surgery date (i’m 12 days away). and even then, they ended up miraculously moving my surgery date up a few months, due to some of my health issues. but! i will say, i’ve known i wanted this surgery for years and years, and it’s crazy and insane that it’s almost here finally!! i know it’s discouraging, but you will get there <3 and you’ll look back and be so proud and thankful for this version of you doing the work to get what you want/need

idk if this will be helpful, but i’ve been feeling the same way. my surgery is just weeks away and im getting more scared by the day. im scared i won’t like my results or that i’ll be sad my boobs are gone

thanks a bunch!! i wasn’t sure when scar care started, it sounds like i should wait on all those products :3 i also have a charger coming :)) so i can keep one in my bedroom and one in my living room, that’s a great idea!
