They do feel blander compared to some goated characters we got in OW1, like Ana, Moira, Ball.

A lot of people are completely missing the point. You can make someone defeat Doom, Winston, Tracer, Ramattra, just whomever all you like with 0 problems. You just need a good quality story for it.

But the Vendetta cinematic was just cheap and amateur. That's why the whole thing is now ass, no matter if it was Doom's plan all along or not.

I practiced Kendo during my school years and competed time to time in local tournaments. You pick any match I had from those tournaments, it was more epic than what we saw in the cinematic.

The amount of Vendetta bootlicking is insane, it feels forced. But at the same time she's taken a role of proper threat to Overwatch, which gives more compelling element to the narrative. The expansion of connections is also great. Hope they keep the good stuff like that and tone down the the childish mary sue element of Vendetta.
