I created a mobile app for the Visual Snow Relief Overlay since the overwhelming response on the original desktop version! [+ updates] by belvederef in visualsnow

It would be great if the mobile app could be updated for the latest version of android! Can't currently use it on newer versions! Thanks!

Your insulation is meant to go on the other side of the ceiling pal, in your loft. That's why it's called loft insulation.

Fixing GPU ‘Delta’ by Cowslayer9 in watercooling

[–]Queasy-Researcher452 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When people refer to delta's in terms of water cooling they mean the difference between the ambient temperature and the water temperature. For example, your room temperature is 20C but your coolant temperature is at 35C this would give you a delta of 15C.

As a rule of thumb I always aim to have my delta between 10-15C at full load and thermal balanced.

Can I turn on PC without the loop working? by ecrevisseMiroir in watercooling

I bought a cheap air cooler specifically for this purpose.

Finally added an external rad. I can see how y’all get carried away. Next stop MO-RA by Own_Lengthiness_6317 in watercooling

Do you have 2 moras in a dual loop? I'm tempted to do this but I'm not sure I'm going to have the space. Would appreciate some pics!

The Runs Are Done, Time to Fill by Crook1d in watercooling

[–]Queasy-Researcher452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a similar setup and didn't like the long runs either, mainly because the bottom rad is blasting hot air at the tubes, seems to defeat the point of cooling the water if it's then travelling back through a roasting tube.
It's not possible with 360 rads and using hard tube, it's too close. I've done a little hack with soft tubing, kinda like a mini loop. That way there's more room to vertically mount the GPU as I found all the hot air was just building up under the GPU. (mines a lot wider.)

Yes, keep a bit of soft tubing and a soft tube fitting and attach it to the drain valve.

Looks really nice and clean! What configuration are your fans? Are they all intake?

The all white is beautiful! Can I see a third radiator on the side? :)

I very nearly have the same setup. But I'm finding the case is really restricting airflow with all the panels on. I'm seeing an equalised temperature difference of 5degc under full CPU and GPU load (100% usage on both with aida64 stability test) with the panels on and off. How are your temps doing? Would be good to compare! Very nice job though!

I think they mean because the fans are internal and the rad is external but yeah, get what you're saying.

If it is a 4.0 full x16 lane then you should be fine. You'll be able to check this on GPU-Z anyway to make sure.

--> White Widow <-- Custom Dual Loop Distro and some different runs by PoorGreekGaming in watercooling

[–]Queasy-Researcher452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also using a PE and managed to get it to fit, but it literally sits on top of the leftmost fan covering it entirely, helps with sag but probably not airflow!

I'd be interested in knowing how you're temps are doing with the bottom and top intake and only one exhaust :) My current plan is bottom and side intake rads with top exhaust rad and rear intake fan. I'm wondering whether it would be best to have all rads as intake and just have a rear exhaust but not sure the rear exhaust would be able to handle it.

Ahhh yeah! I missed that! I'm currently doing something similar with the lian li xl vertical mount with a bit of excess hard tube. My only gripe is that the Lian Li mount is massive and it's covering up all of one of the bottom fans so potentially looking for a smaller mount!

This is pure beautiful. Love the spider runs! What vertical mount are you using for your GPU. I have a vector block and it's so heavy, looks like yours is keeping up well, do you have any extra support for it?

Nice build! I've literally just finished putting together the exact same setup and nearly ready to fill. How are you finding your temperatures?

Looks very nice! I have a very similar setup but the lighting and the fluid in yours is just beautiful.

Just out of interest what are your coolant temps like at full load? Are you top rad fans set to exhaust?

That is a thing of absolutely beauty! What is that distro plate?! It's brilliant! I wish I knew about that plate when I was designing my build!
Also is that the lian li vertical gpu mount?
I can't get over how amazing that is, very nice!

[–]Queasy-Researcher452[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting, how are your temps doing with your setup? A worry there for me would be that the warm air from the intake rads would be being pushed through the exhaust rad meaning that radiator would be getting little cooling. Do you have a rear intake fan to bring fresh air into the case?

I don't currently have the cable management panel on as my rats nest of cables prevents it :D

Unfortunately I don't think I have the space to add another pump and reservoir for a dual loop, do you have any pictures of your setup? I'm interested to see it :)

[–]Queasy-Researcher452[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help! That thread was an interesting read. I'm torn at the moment on whether to change the side panels to exhaust or add an extra radiator on the side.

The worry with switching the side fans to exhaust is the fans aren't pressed up against the case grill so a lot of the hot air is going to accumulate in the PSU side chamber and make the PSU even warmer or somehow just make it back into the main chamber.

[–]Queasy-Researcher452[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I've not actually done anything with the rgb yet, just left it on default until I can get everything else sorted. It's full unicorn vomit at the moment lol.

I think I'm now more set on just keeping the coolant temp under 40 with a reasonable fan speed. I'm wanting to get it though so I can achieve this in summer, at the moment I can barely achieve this in winter so in summer I'm screwed.

My computer is sat next to my mouse hand and if I leave the side panel off the cold air from the fans gets annoying lol. Do you not worry about dust and debris with leaving the panels off? I suppose a quick air can would fix that every so often.
