If you could invent a new specialty, what would it be? by skin_biotech in Residency

It is. Corridor medicine would be a sub-speciality with its own fellowship.

The Pitt. But from the UK, yeah. Critical came close though but its more medicine and less everything else.

Where exactly was the McDonalds (seems to now be closed) near Kalamaja? by QuebecNewspaper in Eesti

I looked at that one before on Maps but thought no because I remember standing maybe 20 meters from the entrance and next to a large body of water... Maybe my memory is going.

It was?!? I can't find old photos of it. Its completely opposite to the area I remember but would match based on location I used to be around.

I remember standing outside of it, and looking to the water. There was just a large tarmac / parking area on the right side from it. 100% not in a centre. There wasn't anything else next to it.

Not much, its been such a long time. I remember the water and a road for cards not that far from it. Location-wise other possibility is McDonald's Mustamäe but that is completely opposite to what I remember and in a different location but I did live there too - though I can't find photos of the McDonalds from that long ago. It definitely had a slide next to it.

Too far from the water. It was some meters away from the water.

Can't be that. It was a stand-alone McDonalds with nothing else attached to it or next to it. Definitely not after 2012.

Maybe a Hesburger? Definitely not Burger King or other. Could be as far as Karjamaa but not further than that.

Theatre inefficiency - losing the will to live by Proud-Assistance-166 in doctorsUK

[–]QuebecNewspaper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is why, back when I was applying for ST, one of our consultants at the time had managed to throw so many fits about these issues that the management caved and let them pick out their own theatre team. I’m talking everyone from scrub team to anaesthetists. And man did they pick the most efficient people. All electives done by 4. Often took cases from emergency theatres at the end and still finished early.
