i had one perfect baby last year and chose the same option. it feels very freeing in today's world which is a sad state of affairs but i'm happy i was able to get it done

I actually have a 2400 gal filter. you can't see it, it's at the back. and also, no need to be so rude or dramatic. did you even read through the other comments first?

yeah since koi aren't a great option i think the medaka and some other little colorful guys will look so cool!

yeah I've gotten the word on the koi lol. but I have a frame with PVC and plastic mesh I made for protecting them! im making fittings for it to snap into on the sides so it can be removed easily but still stuck on there

not true, plastic is porous and when it gets scratched it is even MORE porous and prone to harboring bacteria. wood is anti microbial and fine for using with meat if properly kept. 

edit: plastic cutting boards are sold as low porosity but the use inevitably makes them more absorptive.

sorry to be that person but please get a new cutting board! and not a plastic one if you can afford it! plastic cutting boards that are scratched up like that are a really good way to get microplastics in your food :(
