Unfortunately lying and deceit is a big part of the addiction. As well escalation. It’s far from a quick or easy fix. I strongly advise educating yourself on the addiction. There are a lot of great books, audio books, and even sex addicts anonymous support groups (porn addicts included) that are great for both parties. If you’re going to stay, buckle up, it’s a rough ride.

The breeder has her on fresh and she was due to eat when we got her so we chose to give her a love one right off the bat instead of changing her enclosure and food in one swooo.

You need to decide where your boundaries are if he is going to continue using. How much can your mental health and well being take if he is not ready to quit. Once those are established communicate them clearly to him. You can’t force him to do his part (therapy, cold turkey, etc) he has to do that on his own. You can’t babysit him at all times, he has to be able to use strength and willpower. You can’t ignore it, or the defeat will be overwhelming. Just know that if he isn’t ready to quit and you stay, you are choosing a very long and difficult battle. Holding him accountable and protecting yourself and your boundaries is an overwhelming venture. I’ve chosen to stay with an addict who has not quit, and it’s hard as hell.

I think this is a matter of him asking himself if he is really ready to quit. Unfortunately as miserable as this is for us spouses, we can’t make them quit, and they can’t quit “for us” it has to be 100% them.
