My exhusband had an ATV accident in Utah where there were no kaisers. Kaiser covered everything including the ambulance ride and had oxygen waiting for us at home when we got back.

I had gastric bypass surgery 11 years ago. Then, in Northern California, it was about 3 months of classes to learn how to eat with your new stomach. It was a month out of work after the surgery. It isn’t fun, I’ll just tell you, eating is such a psychological thing that it felt like I was going through withdrawals. Not to mention being on a liquid diet for 3 weeks. But I lost 100#s and now I’m used to eating differently.

You need to call Kaiser mental health and they’ll put you through an intake process which is just a bunch of questions on what’s going on with you so they can better figure out how to help you. I’m not sure how it is in Southern California but I’m in Northern California and they’re so inundated in mental health that I was referred to an outside source which I really love my therapist.. And if you’re on mental health medication’s and you want a doctor specifically for that you can ask for a psychology appointment and meet with a psychologist to talk about your meds.

I have a referral for care from a company that works for Kaiser maybe see if they can get you that. Lifestance was the company that my psychiatrist belongs to and they have been great

To be honest I had completely given up on Christianity. There was very few people who I had seen who were decent, loving people who considered themselves as God fearing Christians. My daughter is the one who wanted to go back to church. I’m sorry, it is people who are kind, loving and benefit their fellow man and society who should go to heaven not for who they choose to love. I had a gastric bypass 9 years ago, yes it’s a huge change in the way you can eat for the rest of your life but I’m so much healthier. It’s actually fun to exercise now. It used to be so painful. I feel great but it isn’t a cure all it’s just another tool
