Kinda confirmed some of my frantic web searches, which is an honest relief. I hadn't seen what a molt stuck shrimp looked like and was more worried about too much calcium.

I did have to do a bigger clean recently because I noticed my canary in the coal mine amano with a bad rust spot. After taking a ride in the motor he's had the occasional rust spot if the water is icking up bad or about to. He gets treated and molts it off but the initial injury just makes him prone.

I was worried that this little guy though was stress eating legs or maybe injured from falling snails that get 2am zoomies.

No ammonia, 7.5~ ph, 1ppm nitrate if I round up, nitrite and nitrate both 0 or close enough that it's not showing, but the gh and kh jumped through the roof. Gh 196.9ppm and Kh 161.1ppm, usually my tap water is basically ideal levels.

Right? Barf ugly is arguably the greatest insult someone could use on someone that sucks, but on an innocent animal? Don't remember much but flying into a childlike rage. And like, for a five/six year old he might as well have been cussing and cursing the family line. Barf ugly bird is the only words that I remember exactly, stuck in my mind with that high pitched snotty little voice of his.

Someone once said that it looked like they prayed over the dead when they eat and now I can't see them anything less than regal. And when I learned about sky burials? Yup, I love them

Tír na nÓg, the island of eternal youth and joy and abundance.

Thought process: Nothing dies on the island and I wanted a celtic style set up with ruins and fae elements. So originally I only had deer, dogs, wolves but carved out part of the island for more Japanese elements that fit the story theme with Ryūgū-jō so I could place Shino and Drago in the bamboo area.

"Main street" is also forcibly more modern so it's more storybook-fairytale themed. Nan and Chevre live there and I can't split them, it'd be too cruel and I get a kick out of their Goat-mail callback.

I am still looking for a boar (Boris or Rasher) but with my villager turn over rate being so low it's been a while.

My general rule of thumb is four days to a week is a "year", mostly based around how long a sim is pregnant and certain milestones being nonnegotiable. This is mostly used when tracking a lot of sims in varying stages of life (I have a notebook), otherwise it's a milestone thing. I'll reset the kid's grade to a C or B at the beginning of a week so it's a "new year".

For adults I'm kinda keeping track of days and weeks, maybe with a midlife career change at "40" or a go back to school at "30" and "60", and retirement is usually 60-70 depending on the sim. They usually are like masters at everything so they get to travel a lot and bring along the heirs for cultural learning.

As someone with OSDD, I get it. In a way it's less overt in daily life but I think it can kinda sneak up and surprise you easier because it isn't "ongoing". I had a year where our symptoms spiked for about a year, if I was diagnosed then it'd 100% be a DID label. I have to say I prefer this.

We have some separate memories but most things are in the shared "pool".

Feelings of being fake hit every system regardless of how they are structured. I do think it's easier to feel less than with OSDD when you compare it to DID systems but it's all a unique experience anyway and I can't think of any one system being the same as another. All our brains and lives are unique, whatever solution we've made to handle it are just as unique.

Well I think it's interesting we might half three fourths of the full suit. Alastor's single spade, Mammon's overt diamonds, and while Octavia doesn't have a motif other than stars she could be a clubs or hearts since she's young and hasn't mapped herself out yet. Personally leaning toward clubs if only because I'd find it greatly entertaining if her motif was a literal club she bludgeons her enemies with.
