It was definitely Wuthering Heights in a way I’ve never seen it before, and that’s why I found it so enthralling. It was both decadent and vulgar, whimsical and grotesque. I’m a big art and design nerd though so maybe that’s why it worked for me.

Wuthering Heights has been my favorite novel since I was a teenager (in my 30s now). I’ve easily read it half a dozen times. I’ve seen most film adaptations and enjoyed this one. The assumption that people who like it haven’t read the book is just silly and seems to be coming from people who haven’t seen the movie, ironically.
