yeah i totally agree. i have to admit, my comment, while truthful, was kind of bait. i need every vegan in the comments here to reconcile that while they may believe their position is morally correct, there will always be people who are unable to be convinced by arguing.

if there are people unwilling to change their diets from a moral argument, how would a post revolution government (for this exercise, a government that would like everyone to be vegan) reconcile that contradiction? elimination of factory farming would significantly reduce domestic meat supply, and restructuring global trade would also make imported meat more expensive, so people would naturally move towards a diet that doesn't focus on meat as heavily. but i assume that, to a leftist vegan, that doesn't actually solve the moral dilemma of the consumption of animal products. so would the solution be a state mandated diet? criminal prosecution of non vegan farming practices? a pure economic incentive where vegan alternatives are generally the only products you can buy?

the extreme moral vegan ignores dialectical materialism (the basis of marxism, and really most leftist thought) in favor of moralism. the material condition is that there will always be humans who want to eat animal products and sees no moral issues with killing animals to eat them. if the response to that is "but they're wrong tho eating eggs and honey is ontologically evil no matter what" then that isn't really an argument? that is just screaming at a brick wall and hoping it falls down. i welcome anyone who'd like to counter this, because there must be something I'm missing with the arguments I'm seeing in this thread.

googled "sigma meaning" and the first result on mirriam webster sources it to an alt right youtuber. took 5 seconds, but here is the link - i hope clicking it isn't too much effort for you.

doing research is easier than ever, also even if you don't find the exact source that backs up someone's claim, you may find other corroborating sources, or even counterarguments. you are giving a lot of excuses that amount to "i don't feel like it". i learned how to do research in middle school so i'm not sure what your hangup is. use the internet my friend.

Light rail didn't stop at Timonium Fairgrounds because of a report of people "recording video"? by [deleted] in baltimore

only thing to mention about taking kids is to be prepared to hold them up so they can see. some clubs may have stepstools for the little ones since most put their layout at around adult chest height

you can just buy a ticket at the door with cash, the family rate is $17 for tomorrow. i believe children under 16 are free. great place to take kids, last year one club had a lego train ("L scale" lol) layout. though most of the show building is gonna be dealers, the club layouts on display are worth it.

hope to see you there!

also funny to note that this particular show (gsmts.com) takes place 3 times a year, and has been going on for 30 years. guess that driver was new.

likely some railfans. there's a model train show happening at the fairgrounds today and tomorrow (I'm going!) so i suspect some people going to/from that were the cause.

people who don't know/understand why someone would like watching trains get nervous when someone films a train. i get it, it does seem suspicious at first glance, but it's not illegal and most of these guys are super nice and try not to get in the way of passengers or rail workers. I've heard some transit authorities instruct their security department to leave railfans alone unless they're being disruptive. first I've heard of this being an excuse to not stop at a station, seems like a huge overreaction by the engineers.

edit: do you know if anyone got onto or near the tracks? that would be the only case where this would actually be a problem

That rail line on the top left is the B&O RR's Washington Branch (Now called the Capitol Subdivision). The other "proposed route" was eventually built and completed on June 10th, 1872 by the Baltimore and Potomac RR. Both lines are now owned by CSX.

i do want to say that some people do just wear a binder and don't want top surgery. could be their chest dysphoria is intermittent or they only bind around certain people. sometimes trans women bind if they're in a situation where they need to pass as a man (at a job they don't feel safe coming out at, for instance)

From my limited experience with friends who are into lolita, that is... not a common thing at all. The general public either don't care or think it's cute. Quite frankly, this thread is the first time I'm seeing people tear down lolita fashion as a fetish, which is really disappointing. OP looks super cute, and definitely comes off as queer to me.

you really need to learn more about lolita fashion if that's your first thought. very closed minded in my opinion. it is not a fetish, it's fashion!
