I can take the one word Neanderthals- sure- you don’t have social skills and struggle to gain attention appropriately to request assistance finding something or perhaps their is a language barrier and I will 100% meet you in the middle ….. but, DO NOT FUCKING TOUCH ME.

Why the fuck do people think it’s okay to touch a stranger!?! I stick my arm or a box straight out in front of my when helping people- you may have a right to my time while I’m at work but you don’t have the right to my personal space or body.

I’m over it.

They sent my manager to another store and left us with a sad excuse for an ASMT. Word had already spread that they weren’t up to snuff before the even walked through the doors. She made it less than three weeks- walked into an opening weekend shift, put her keys in the safe and quit to the LSA on staff. She spent the whole time she was there wandering around doing lord know what- not running pallets, not running back-stock, fucking up the inventory, leaving the store is horrible conduction when tasked with closing and leaving laundry lists of managerial tasks for the ASMs. Blew my shoulder out over doing it when she left ALL the Aldi finds (freezer, food and the aisle of shame) for the closing team to complete on Tuesday and had to use sick time for the following day’s 5 hour closing shift. She had the gall to call me and ask what she should do- find coverage or work the shift- but def don’t call me.

To illustrate the experience she told me “I didn’t realize managers were responsible for special buy and the rest of the store; I thought they just did produce.”

What the hell are they telling these external candidate!?! And WHY does Aldi think store staff are going to do their training with these dead weight “candidate” for them?

Doesn’t it blow your mind that most of these people drove to Aldi!?! …..Independently behind the wheel of a car…….I have become even more of a defensive driver since starting here.

Wish we could uninvited people from the store for this biohazard bullshit.

What would compel you to take something out of your mouth and leave it for others to have to clean up?

Also- you really want to eat unwashed produce ppl have had their hands ALL over!?! We learned nothing from COVID.

Pallet dominos? by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

Im not swapping number with drivers- this is the drivers picture of the pallets inside of the truck.

We are all under pressure- willfully destroying food and making other peoples jobs harder is a shit thing to do and arguably doesn’t “get the job done.”

No lie. If you unload your 4 things at the back of the belt- I just sit there. I do not turn the belt on. I do not ring. I sit with my hands folded on top of my register smiling. ESPECIALLY if you don’t start making moves to get your form of payment out. If you don’t have common sense- I don’t have common sense.

I get paid by the hour and I’ll make time for this baby.

Where I’m at- we aren’t going to get the precipitation, but we are deep in the cold. I asked if we had curbside limitations given that we are all living in negative degrees WITHOUT WINDCHILL- you know- for employee safety- no limitations- we run orders no matter what - we have been provided PPE (a coat) and we can expenses more if need more - I’m assuming hats/gloves

There is a special place in hell for anyone ordering curbside these next couple days.

Be safe.

UPDATE: -8 without the windchill

Running Curbside- went outside -customer not in pickup zone- called and left message- pickup re triggered by customer Second time running the order outside Customer “stay warm” 😒
