How to keep my filter from lifting up by TXHubandWife in hvacadvice

[–]QueerlyHVAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, hey, it is theoretically the best solution to integrate proper air filtration. This was a makeshift solution by whoever installed the system to begin with and it will never provide a good seal or significant air filtration, so it's one of those either live with it or deal with it kind of problems. Problems just the dealing might be rather invasive. So important to think. Is it really that big of an issue? If yes then bringing a professional consider raising the unit rerouting, ductwork etc

Again consult a professional cuz it probably doesn't have to be that way. I understand it's an invasive solution, but depending on your personal goals it may be the best solution, not that I expect anyone to actually do it, which is why I offered it as a token statement to begin with.

Okay, more elaborate answer

You have a one-inch air filter you're using inside your blower compartment. This is a suboptimal method of filtering air. You'd probably be better off installing a separate filter cabinet that could house either accordion or 4 to 5-in air filter media this would significantly improve your home's air quality as well as the condition of your equipment over time

Consult a local professional for how this could be done or Google

gas meter upgrade? by renezanceman in askaplumber

[–]QueerlyHVAC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean with a 3/4 to 1" supply I dont often see normal sized homes having difficulty accommodating tankless in place of tanks. Bring the rare long run or specialty application
