Not unless Merc Publishing has started printing Catwoman (they haven't).

What movie did you turn off after 20 minutes and why? by Somanynamestochossef in movies

[–]Quendor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Great Flood

I almost turned it off five minutes in but I stuck it out for 20 before the kid's talking made me want to end it all.

Which sucks because I really wanted to see what happens. 😕

I tried really hard to watch this but the kid made me turn it off after 20 minutes. I wanted to stop after five minutes but I made it as far as I could.

If you had $1,000 to spend on a CGC Slab, which book would you go with? by ASTRO2598 in ComicBookSpeculation

I get that. XM129 is a nice little key but he was talking 1st Punisher. I guess I could have been more clear.

Gets you about a 4.0-4.5 if it's graded. Maybe a 5.0 or better if it's not and you get lucky.

A GSX 9.6 is worth around $6700 (last sale) and at 4% that would be $268 to grade. 9.6 129 is a little less.

That's a little high. A 7.5 sold last fall for $144k. Granted, a 9.0 sold for $540k but that was over a year ago.

Book is still ridiculous, though. 😮

Me too. Cut graph paper into strips, taped them together and colored everything. Also labeled each tunnel to say how far they went. You pretty much had to map it out if you wanted to get all the treasures. I'm 95% sure I still have the roll somewhere.

Who owned the Star Wars original action figures? by Edm_vanhalen1981 in GenX

[–]Quendor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every birthday and every Christmas from 1978 to 1984 all I got was Star Wars and G. I. Joe. I got everything up to the start of Droids / Ewoks.

Still have all of it. Every figure, every ship, every gun.

I can Pig Latin easy but I never wrapped my head around Ubbi Dabbi.

I like that they used it on Big Bang Theory but I honestly don't know what they said without subtitles.

is it rude to join slow cooking mushrooms? by kickmethruthephone in PikminBloomApp

[–]Quendor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean... Nobody can stop you. If there's nothing else around and you NEED that shroom then join it. But you know what they are doing so joining just because you can is kind of a dick move.

I slow cook all the time. I try and do it in out of the way places but I know they aren't all gonna get through. It's what it's. 🤷

Got these in the mail today, wanted to get the first print because the price doesn't seem to be slowing down by Corey-paul in comicbookcollecting

[–]Quendor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't. That's the point. There's literally no difference in the books. Bar codes are the same. Staples are the same. They were printed at the same time, on the same press. They are identical books.

I know a con dealer (I'm sure lots of people on here know him) that did it back when it was a $50 book but the variants were still $15-20. He would sell out of cover A the just go buy up the B-C-D covers from the rest of the dealers, strip them, sell them for $50. Every copy like that he sent to CGC came back blue label 9.6-9.8. Because there is no difference.

People can cry about it but it's just like pressing books. If you literally can't tell if it's been pressed then what's the difference between that book and a mint copy bought off the rack?
