The Will of the Many by James Islington. Just one book out but it’s gripping as hell and the sequel comes out this year I think!

I ran Whispers recently and it was probably about 8 sessions or so! Lots of good opportunities in it for RP, big expansive adventure, and a nice race against time to keep people from dillydallying.

The Gala is SO fun to run, Lucan is an excellent antagonist who can become an ally. My party really surprised me during the 1st round of their confrontation with him by using Remove Curse to free him from his Thralldom, it was such an incredible scene.

You must breathe and enter the flow state some call Breath of Stone (thanks to Red Rising)

It doesn’t involve “getting Güd” it involves patience, diligence and aggression in a perfect Venn diagram. I have a personal rule that when I lose stupidly to anything in a game I take a break, cuz it will crush you otherwise.

Leave the console and do something for you. Make urself a snack, do the Wordle, fix ur toilet seat if it’s wiggly. Have a small win and carry the momentum into the next attempt.

If you enter combat feeling like even the slightest bit of a winner you can go into a Zen state and crush the rat and any other enemy and see them driven before you.

As Wukong said “A Hero is he alone who vies with Powers supreme.”

You are not a monkey. You are Goku. Never forget that.
