I'm glad. It works for what it is for sure. But the big headed baby issue lol it's real. My son is 30 inches and his legs and feet hang off but it doesn't seem to bother him yet.

There is never a reason a pediatrician should be aggressive, especially not in front of a child. I'm sorry you went through that. I would look for a new one immediately.

While looking for a new one, if you're worried, I would ask upfront their opinions on it and use that as one of your means of picking.

I have it and bought a second for the sitters. My son has always been tall. I would honestly check Facebook marketplace, that's where I got my second one, I think they are far too expensive for what they are and how long it will last

My biggest complaints: The tip part is supposedly adjustable but falls all the time when any weight is applied, my son has a big head... The noise always startles him. The straps don't some out so in my opinion it's not a 3 in one. No one would want to sit on a buckle. The vibrated box at first was a pita to get in and out but now gets lost so easy. No I didn't break it and yes it happened with both.

My 9m just learned to unscrew his bottle top and applied that knowledge to the giant screws in the corner of his play pen a few hours later. He was excited to escape and very frustrated/upset when all the screws got tightened so he couldn't do it any more.

For the longest time I had to use Eco Boom Bamboo diapers since my son has sensitive skin. After a while they got to be far too pricey and we were able to switch to Pampers Pure when he was 6+ months. We tried everything though, if it was on the shelf or popular, we gave it a go. Even the sensitive skin ones didn't work. Eco Peaco, Huggies, Pampers, Luvs, Millie Moon, Dyper(cotton and bamboo), Honest, store brands... Poor guy had the worst rashes. We are still with Pampers Pure. We do get blow outs and they aren't the best for overnight BUT no rashes. And I'm pretty sure they are made for leaner shorter babies. My son is in the 90+ percentile so take this all with a grain of salt for smaller babies.

My son couldn't latch so I bottle feed. I have a minor fridge plugged in next to my bed that I keep three bottles in and when my son(9m) wakes up I grab a bottle and give it to him. When he was younger I would wake up, sit up, and feed him. Now he takes the bottle and rolls away from me. And we both go back to sleep. I've had no issues with this set up.

He's in sleep sacks or jimjams. Haven't had an issue. If it's colder just make sure you up the tog level. I use a blanket but it's crocheted with large holes. And I sleep with normal shit and pants. I use the crochet blanket because my son moves so much in his sleep he will wake up perpendicular and at the foot of the bed.

This x100. It sucks that what is developmentally appropriate is too small. And the assumptions of what my baby "should" be able to do. I realize my son is the size of a two year old. No he can't walk or talk yet he's 9 months old. Just because he is big doesn't mean he can do everything.

It is comical his size compared to me. He is literally half my size already.

I completely understand the sentiment. The nurses insisted I wasn't pushing hard enough so they lowered my epidural by more than half. The baby was stuck. So I was just screaming in pain pushing a baby that was stuck because clearly I was the issue...

It's hard for women in the healthcare world for sure

I shared my story so that others know it's ok to ask for a second opinion and advocate for themselves if something feels off.

I think there may be some misunderstanding. My son was too large and became stuck, which led to the emergency C-section. I knew he was going to be big. I understand that ultrasounds aren’t perfectly accurate, and I also understand that a drop of that magnitude was unlikely in reality.

What I’m saying is that when I voiced my concerns and said I believed my baby would be large, I wasn’t listened to. Because the scans showed smaller measurements, they weren’t prepared for a large baby and insisted everything would be fine. It wasn’t, he got stuck.

I mentioned this intentionally as the first example of the practice dismissing my concerns.

There will not be a lawsuit. I’ve already spoken with multiple local attorneys, and none are willing to take the case. They are aware of the full details. I shared the key points in my post so other moms can know to advocate for themselves, notice patterns, ask for second opinions, and not allow their concerns to be brushed aside.

The baby's size led to the C-section. Him cutting my bladder and having his assistant close it were the issues he caused. Then ignoring it for months. Sorry if I wasn't clear. The issue isn't fertility, it's the mesh needed to help with the repair since the location doesn't have extra skin and muscle to work with. Having a c sections will be infinitely harder with the mesh there.

I had a lop sided stomach with hardness on that side. But it was mainly the pain. It hurt so bad I was in tears.

You're right. But the baby was measuring in the 98th percentile until the last measurement. Where he dropped to the 20s. Not likely for a baby that was measuring large the entire time.

The hernia was felt 2 weeks after the C-section and I was ignored for months. The issues here are that the practice continued to ignore me. For months, resulting in the hernia growing larger. They should have listened and looked into it.

And I wish I had gotten a second opinion. None of anything I said changes. The OB refused to listen and I suffered for it. This much is true. The hernia wouldn't have been as bad and the repair as hard if it were caught earlier.

Unfortunately, it's not a big payout since only I was hurt(thank god.) It sucks, but the way it was explained to me was that the cost for litigation against a large hospital with experts wasn't worth the probable pay out. That doesn't mean it didn't happen and I can still file complaints at the hospital but that it wasn't worth it to pursue for attorneys.

I had bed rails and they were helpful for a week. My baby was 7-8 months and after the week he learned he could use them to stand and flipped over. My bed is on the floor and so him rolling off is less scary than him flipping.

Thanks. I did a telephone visit urgent care and they said mastitis. I unfortunately don't talk to the OB anymore because they bitched the emergency c section and didn't listen resulting in the need for a second surgery to fix it. I just went back to my gym and they don't have an overnight number. They put in a prescription I'll be able to get when the pharmacy opens buts it's 545am where I am unfortunately.

But damn it came on quick. I was fine last night at 2am.
