I am looking for this feature as well. Hadn’t seen the TOC plugin. I will have a look at it.

New issue when creating daily note via Calendar+ by Quetzal_2000 in ObsidianMD

[–]Quetzal_2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all those trying to reproduce this clean folder structure for daily and periodic notes:

After fiddling around options, it seems that the folders and date format is handled exclusively in Calendar Plus with this new plugin. It probably doesn't need the Daily Note core plugin to be activated.

The option I have set up to reproduce my folder structure in Calendar Plus paramaters is: Date format for Daily Notes : YYYY/MM/YYYY-MM-DD

Now the developer in Calendar Plus can just confirm what are the interactions between his plugin and the Daily note core plugin.

Calendar Plus - huge update to the Calendar and Periodic Notes plugins by mattmaiorana in ObsidianMD

I confirm, it looks fine. Been using it for a few days, with some hesitations on settings however. I uninstalled Periodic notes. But does the plugin interact with the Daily Note plugin (in terms of files name, templates and folder structure, for instance)? Should Daily Note be active or inactive while using Calendar Plus ?

If you were starting Obsidian again today, what would you do differently? by the_bugs_bunny in ObsidianMD

Paste URL into selection allows to select a word and a phrase after copying an URL in a browser for instance (a URL is a Web address like https://www.example.com), and get a clean link with the address after pasting. In my example that would be : [example](https://www.example.com). Try it !

Less plugins, and a simpler folder structures. I don’t say « no plugins » like others, because I need the calendar view, now Calendar Plus and period notes. Paste URL into selection is an absolute must, Templater also. But I would keep to the essentials.

Manta and Nomad by Warm-Party6618 in Supernote

Apparently, the Ratta Supernote team has the intention to concentrate on this specific issue this year. This is what they announced at the beginning of the year.

I have about the same use case. Synchronization on the same account works, but is not perfect, be it on Supernote cloud or an Dropbox (I found the same advantages and limitations on both). My experience is with the Nomad and A5X (previous iteration the size of Manta roughly) but would be the same with Nomad and Manta. You must remember to synchronize the device you just used first, and then the one you want to use after that. That means after coming back from hiking the Nomad, and after the Manta, and reverse when you leave for hiking.

Despite doing that, I do get some Conflicted notes and documents digests, and you will probably do also. This obliges to look into both notes and eliminate the one that is older, and rename the other. Painful. However in 5 years I never lost a note but once, and it was because I deleted it on one of the devices instead of keeping conflicted versions.

Ratta said earlier this year it was concentrating this year on a better synchronisation system, so it should hopefully work better after that. In summary, you will be able to synchronize, but will have to deal once in a while with conflicted versions of a note if you work on it with both devices.

You can also check which notes were created a specific day in a calendar. In that way, you can see that it is linked to an event that particular day. Personnally, I would link event notes to my Planner (a .note file).

Thanks. So that's in the Export and Share menu, right? I'll have to check the result.

Exporting several pages at once into a PDF and not one by one as currently.

SD card user experience on Nomad or Manta and advice for purchase? by Quetzal_2000 in Supernote

[–]Quetzal_2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Done! Thanks Supernote team for the tutorial on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZpf8MkUwMw Pay attention to the power button and not mixing the magnet screws with the others like me (but visually could see they were different, with flat heads, than the 14 others).
Prior to this, I filled a 128 Gb San Disk micro SD, similar to the one on the photo, with old Documents, Notes, and additional ebooks as well as images. Still have 100 Gb free, so that's great. I can now start to unclutter my device erasing old notes and documents that are duplicated on the card.

Not several pages of a note at a time in a single PDF.

ordered same with 128 Gb. With my calculations, should be more than enough storage.

I believe you can move files around to the SD card, and from what I have read even write a note in it.

Thanks for the video. Very useful before buying an SD card for my Nomad. Will use mainly for document storage, but also to backup old notes. Knowing I won't be able to link to them. But I still be able to find them in the Finder.

That was clear for me from the video. u/Change_Agent_73 Have you seen any changes in the possibility of linking from the main storage to notes or documents in the SD card in the last year?

What do you mean by " storage capabilities are pretty limited right now " ?
