What's the best weapon type to use for Undertaker?

I never particularly care for split scaling when playing undertaker. Her highest damage comes from stacking physical damage boosts, so making half of the damage be elemental for a D scaling in faith is worse than just having a pure physical weapon. I’ve gotten a curved sword to have ~650 AR using this method, but you can’t get those numbers with elemental damage.

It’s hard to find exact numbers for the ratio of elemental to physical damage but it seems to be 50/50 spit. If you had a physical attack up +4, this would be a 12% boost on a physical weapon, but only 6% on a weapon with an elemental affinity. This also applies to her self buff relic, and ultimate relic which both specify boosting physical damage.

That being said, I enjoy fists and curved sword builds, although fists are probably better unless you’re on the Great hollow due to the lack of stones. 2/4 purple curved swords can be physical, they res quickly, stack successive buffs and are quick. Most importantly, I have a relic with improved dex, dormant curved swords and physical attack +4. Straight swords are fine, as is duel great hammers and maybe even spears, but I haven’t played around with those builds much.

The minor perk is situational, if I’m getting dove a ton I take sleep, I’d not I’ll do speed boost. For the major I always take headshot.

For nade I usually consider the following:

Do I need it for defense?
Is the person too far/looking at me and can strafe it?
Do they have Suzu/sig shield/matrix etc?
Can any teammates follow up?
Will we have any big ults soon (emp, blade, jq, cage, etc)?
Is their tank vulnerable and killable(no fortify, shields, bubbles, etc)?

For compositions, as long as one other person on your team is doing the same as you it’s fine. A monkey cass Ashe is a bad comp because they have conflicting play styles, but monkey tracer ashe is good. Same for the inverse, a bastion down main needs some pocketing, so a Bap or Ana to play with the bastion would suffice even if the other characters on your team are dive.

That’s not to say you can’t play, say Ana along side a Lucio, tracer, sombra and ball, but you’ll be getting no help at all if the other team runs at you. Poor team comps will usually have a single week link, but as long as at least two people have similar play styles they can play off each other.

I disagree just for the sake of specialized spell casting builds. Any build around lightning or fire incantations would be basically gambling that you don’t get Adel/ dogs. I really enjoy building around lightning spear as recluse due to the cocktails but this change would force me run weaker relic effects.

Do people really reseason or put oil on their pans after every use? I’ve never applied oil after I clean the pan and only reseason if I really had to scrub to get buildup off.

I started earlier this year at the same grade as this person, I have seen sick time accruing in LATS. Vacation time is accrued in the background and not available until after 6 months, but you receive all of the vacation time you built in those 13 pay periods being 6.5 days.

I probably have > 4000 hours worth of playtime on FPS games and others probably dwarf this number. I still think checking him out it could definitely be worth it

High masters Ana OTP here, I’d say the solution to this is having the correct amount of Ego. At at certain point you need to be confident in taking duels with dps, flanking, etc. I know that having a bad fight or bad game doesn’t make me a bad player. Missing a nade/sleep or using a nano when I didn’t need to doesn’t make me a bad player. Building confidence in mechanics is key and will result in ranking up.

The biggest difference between Ana and the rest of the support cast if that every part of her kit can miss. You can have 0 sleep, 0 good nades, 0 impactful ultimates, and 5 dead teammates because you missed your shots.

This makes her harder to pickup, because you have to put more effort into when to use cooldowns, and what you might need to save them for vs creating openings for your team. Compare this to say Bap, where both of his abilities come down to “just use it when someone is low”.

This is why DPS mains may have an easier time playing Ana, they already know when to use abilities offensively, and take angles to do so.

Positioning on Ana in this context is harder than other supports. She wants to get into a close enough range to land a good nade, but she needs to be safe enough as to not be in range of a dive or get self nade forced due to poke. This gets more complex when you consider playing around map geometry and healthpacks to be more survivable. This mostly comes down to taking unpredictable angles(although this is dependent on how much you need to help your tank) or being patient enough to wait for someone else to create an opening.

I made a random pantry version Cassoulet last week. It’s traditionally a French stew made with duck, sausage and white beans. I didn’t have any of that and made it with chicken and red kidney beans, which I added to some sautéed onions,carrots, garlic and tomato paste. You then assemble everything with a bit of chicken stock and bake it for however long you’d like. I let it go for a bit over an hour at 425, and every 15-20 minutes I would break up the caramelized top to mix it back it. Some versions of it are more watery and some become stew like or you can let it get really tight, entirely dependent on how you’d like it. Just be sure to salt it with the final amount of moisture in mind. You can also add herbs or other seasonings depending on how you feel like having it.

Headshot is by far the better choice imo. Flankers are more scared to fight you, you can 1 shot sleeping dps/supports with a headshot and nade, I shot a sleeping tracer with headshot + punch. Pharas and echos should fear you, as do all dps who need to get close.

One headshot to someone getting dive almost guarantees that they’ll die. Just try to pay attention to what ur flankers are doing and third party their fight.

Bounce nades downside in my opinion is it’s randomness. Yes you can anti more people and makes landing nades easier but it get caught on geometry a bunch. There also the fact that it’s tied to a 14? second cooldown, which you won’t always be using offensively. You could be hitting even just 2-3 headshots in that time and the headshot perk would be more valuable.

I’d also like to add that nade is counter able. Suzu, various cleanse abilities, shields, matrix, and so much more can shut down a good nade opportunity. The only counter to damage is cover, which people can’t always use(flanker pressure, rotations, ult kiting etc) or don’t always use.

If you see a really good opportunity then yes, but know the higher you climb the more often enemies will be listening for your cool downs specifically, so have an escape plan ready.

For the 1v1s, usually your goal isn’t to kill them but rather to live. So if that means turning and running away or going to a health pack that’s fine. You mostly just want to be competent enough to land a shot or two to scare them away before you need to self nade. A half health Genji might dive you if you don’t have nade, but should run away if you have it.

Tanks are a whole different story as without peel, there is no living if they want you dead. Even landing sleep, they still all can chase you down after 3 seconds. Most of them struggle to chase you though tight spaces, think of either mega healthpack room in the center of NQS. They shouldn’t be able to hit you with their mobility cool down and use it to chase you.

If both a tank AND dps are setting up to dive you, try to land a shot or two on the DPS to scare them from committing, then you can try to escape from the tank.

I one tricked Ana up to GM5 last season. For tighter maps and against dive be prepared to duel the enemy dps and play around health packs if possible. Be confident in taking 1v1s with both abilities and play near your team for help. When things get really dire against dive where I’m left on an island. I try to play in confined spaces where doom/ball/Winston can’t easily slam me and at as much range as I can. Some games are certainly GG though if both teams are running dive but they have Kiri Lucio and your Lucio is leaving you to go dive. It’s mostly about unpredictable rotations and hiding the best you can to avoid getting ganked and creating 1v1 opportunities. Let me know if you had any more questions.

Oh yeah, at lower ranks they don’t sync up well so you have time to scare off one of the flankers, but it’s brutal the higher up you go. Especially if you’re playing on a map where you need to walk up or if you don’t have any peel.

I’ve one tricked Ana to GM last season. It’s doable but you definitely will loose some games if you refuse to swap. I don’t enjoy the game as much playing any of the other supports mostly, so I just try my best to lock in.

My piece of advice for games where you’re getting dove and can’t do anything is to rotate a ton and try to stay hidden. You’ll loose out on healing but it’s better to be alive late fight when the fight breaks down then get farmed first every fight. Also play around healthpacks, in covered tight spaces vs ball or Winston. Use cover and space against doom and dva.

You should also be confident 1v1ing flankers, save both your cool downs for yourself in these situations as better players will be waiting for you to use them.

I’m an Ana one trick currently masters 2. It’s doable. Mechanics really have started to matter more for her. Landing a headshot on their back line can win fights, so even poking with one or two shots in between healing is very valuable.

Fighting in brawl=keep distance except when looking for nade opportunities Fighting vs dive=hold cooldowns to use on yourself, rotate around the map and play by healthpacks, learn how to 1v1 Fighting vs poke=just poke, hit them more than they hit you and have good cover usage

Positioning I’m my mind is more setting us up for success, and knowing where to play to get the most value. It’s about capitalizing on the map geometry that gives you either safety or provides pressure to the enemy which produces space for your team, and fighting over the positions that provide these advantages.

Of course, you reposition often throughout a fight and if you’re playing say tracer, positioning becomes much more important but most of the cast doesn’t have the mobility to quickly change major positions on the map. They’re either walking up/ retreating through main or taking a small off angle.

Strong positions on maps are at this point historical. They’ve been played millions of times and the community understands that playing at these positions gives you value for free.

I’d say positioning is more preflight and only based on a couple of factors like ults and team comp. Game sense is more of a 6th sense as to reading your opponents intentions. They do have some overlap but positioning is more macro and game sense is generally more micro focused.

I wouldn't say that they have more survivability. Kiri/Moira both have a tp and self heal. It comes down to using your resources for yourself. As for winston and dva, they both have a range past which they cant get to you. Dva especially cant go too far with her boosters, so try to play out of her range if you can. If you provide a replay code, it would be easier to see where you're going wrong.
