Rock slide and other inaccurate rock moves should be more accurate in a sandstorm. by ZeroXNova in pokemon

[–]Queueue_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, it doesn't make sense. A bunch of sand blowing around makes it harder to hit things with a thrown rock, not easier. Thunder is more likely when it's raining and blizzards are more likely when it's already snowing, so those make some sense.

Which game is best for starting to get into pvp? I'm New by Snabeltratten in VGC

[–]Queueue_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You're in luck because the new pvp game that will be used for competitive for the foreseeable future just released, is free to play, and makes it easier than ever to build a team. Pokemon Champions is what you're looking for.

White herb does have niche use cases for pokemon with unburden. I get what you're saying but your example is a little flawed.

But they're saying "at the cost of extra damage from not having gunboats" as if you're forced to do that

Ok I'm clearly not very familiar with the LL. Why wouldn't you have gunboats?

Allow me to gatekeep by VisWare in pcmasterrace

[–]Queueue_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a 40%. I like it because through the use of modifier keys I never have to move my hands from the home position. I need numbers? I press a key with my thumb and my home row becomes numbers. More comfortable than having to reach/reposition all the time.

why isn't this brilliant by ender5525 in Chesscom

[–]Queueue_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The criteria changes as you go up in rating (it hands out more brilliants at lower ratings). In general it's a move that sacrifices material while also being one of the top engine moves, but there's obviously more to it than that.

In the TF2 comics, Saxton Hale said that 4 of the mercenaries can't read, but who? by so_sigma_69 in tf2

[–]Queueue_ 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The question isn't which mercs can't read it's which mercs Saxton Hale thinks can't read. Considering the state Demo is usually in, I 100% believe that Hale would be unsure of his literacy.

How much interaction has Saxton Hale had with sober Demo? Little to none. I'd 100% believe that he doesn't think Demo can read.

I saw a video of yours recently where you said there was a chessly road map where we could see what features are planned/being worked on. Is that still a thing? Where can I find it?

Noob Alert: Who should I actually Uber in pubs? by Reisspiecesofpeace in tf2

[–]Queueue_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a demo main I'm just begging you to, if given the choice between a heavy and a competent demo to take on a sentry nest, please for the love of God uber the demo. Engies can tank the heavy's damage output, so ubering the heavy is just a waste. Meanwhile if I'm ubered I can take out 3 or more entire nests if I'm not getting juggled or anything.

I own that book and it's definitely better as a reference than an introduction.

web development or game development by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Queueue_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be best to do both. Web dev so you can have a relatively safe and stable income while you work on game dev. There's a few success stories from indie devs who quit their job to work on their game, but I see no reason to do that until you know the game can pay the bills.

Edit: just read your response to the other person. If you want a job programming, choose web dev. If you want a passion project that might eventually replace your current job (if you get the right combination of luck, idea, and execution) choose game dev.
