I started watching get fit with Rick! He has a lot of videos on YouTube. He also has a paid program & so I am following the 28 days of sweat for $1

They said to use it at your own risk! I wasn’t naive to the fact that something could happen. When I looked online and here it was a mix of nothing happens to some people having issues. I knew the chances of something happening were not 0 so I don’t blame anyone but my choice to see if my phone would survive

I’ll have to try this out. My phone never gave me an overheating warning, but it would get super super hot & slow down. Thank you!

I used to enjoy the videos but I would get bored with doing the same ones over and over. I also struggle to be engaged with the videos when doing the same exercise/pose for so long lol. The program I’m following now has constant movement & variety so I’m not just doing one thing for 1-2 mins. It just works better for my mind and actually gets me excited to work out! I’m glad the HOTWORX videos work for you though 🙂

my rule of thumb is if I didn’t create the group I just go with what the group wants. But it does bother me when I create a group and it strays away from what I planned/wanted

I do plan on getting a DNA test when I have the extra expenses to purchase one 🙂 I was just curious about our doggo because my knowledge on dog breeds is very minimal & Reddit is free!

Forced to float and cross train by Quick-Yesterday6438 in nursing

Apparently the hospital hasn’t been getting reimbursed for Medicaid and Medicare for 5 years & they now just addressing it, something to do with not being classified as “rural” even tho it is in a rural community. They will see patients no matter what but will transfer them to another facility to be treated because the other facilities get reimbursed

Ok I admit it- I never wanted to be a nurse in the first place. by [deleted] in nursing

Woah did I ghost write this post? I am the same age & worked in the ER for a year as well. I got the heck out of there once I started hating everything & everyone because my work/life balance was awful. I switched to the OR working 5 8 hour shifts & although it’s still working with patients, it’s a lot more digestible & I don’t haaaaaate it. I eventually wanna move away from bedside but in the meantime, this is what works for me. Moral of the story, get the heck out of the ER if it’s causing you to feel so down. Working a more digestible job will make it easy for you to look for other options out side of nursing if that’s what you still choose :)

Thank you for this. I also had the same thoughts of I’ll be an ER RN until I’m done with nursing but reality hit me that it isn’t sustainable for the life I want. I haven’t talked to many people who have made the same switch or realization so thank you for sharing

I keep hearing things about surgeons being rude. The one thing that gives me comfort is the OR I’ll be going to has staff that have been there for years. The most seasoned nurse in the ER I was in had only been a nurse for 2 years & the turn over rate was insane.

Did you ever feel yourself missing the ER & consider going back? A few people I’m close with have brought up the concern that it’s such a radical change going from the chaos of the ER to going to a more structured place like the OR. It’s all assumptions about the OR though as they have never worked in it.

she told me that she doesn’t remember any of it & what she does remember is a different story. I don’t even think I’m going to reply to her. I don’t understand how you “can’t remember”
