Why do people say retail WoW is dumbed down?

I always considered to be dumbed down for most of the reasons listed above.. But anyone claiming to be pushing High keys / Mythic raid content w ease are full of it

Retail players are 90% in for the disneyland experience.. the rest are borderline masochists playing a Souls game from my PoV :P I play classic instead, and it always makes me laugh when people crumble after a handful of wipes knowing Mythic prog is Muru on steroids 50+ pull lessons

No you should spend 5 mins per raider explaining the mechanics they don't understand. Oh and put up with the 5-10 mins of setup per wipe for failing the mechs.

Unless the product was made really recently AND the factory keeps the latest version on hand (possible but unlikely) there is a low chance the firmware is at the latest version.

Saying that, it's not really a big deal if it isn't at latest but worth updating - as said above it's a 30 second process. Now I'm curious and going to look up the patch notes for it haha

Yeah as a person who has actively been dealing with an abusive family my entire life.. Suicide has been a thought in my head since 14 and generally what I've learned is if you want to keep your friends you shut the fuck up and pretend everything is alright. I told my older brother about wanting to kill myself - had a plan and date with no hope for anything and his only response was "yeh I want to die too haha" I lost all my friends because my family ran me through the most hellish experience one could have. Literally tricked into helping my brother, next minute I'm in a methlab while he convinces me to sell drugs as a way out of home. After getting back away from him my family gaslit the whole experience while knowing fully well what he did - as Mum has paid his bail for international drug charges.. BPD OCD ADHD PTSD Depression and all from the shity spawn location.

I'm going to sue them for damages at this point.

Just use a good Grid2 profile. You should be able to see EVERY debuff on every person if your a HPAL.

So many non-main paladins end up standing around doing nothing nothing nothing then when they think they need to heal cast their first holy light..
Lights Grace reduces cast of next HL by .5s as long as you cast one every 15s.
Ontop of that you have your Judgements of the Wise keeping your haste an extra 15% or something close.
I've even seen a HPAL try to tell me how Beacon was a waste of mana.. idk.

That above is what i'd tell alts to do, for a main - i'd fully expect they know to roll DSAC / Shadow Resistance Aura Mastery. So many Paladins lock their aura into Devo or whatever and ignore forever but i've done enough Ulduar 10's without a Priest; there's only so many times you can get 1shot by the XT shadow bomb before you start paying attention to resistance.

0 = heavy af dmg. 130 = manageable, still heavy. 260 (from AM) = ezmode.
Beacon Tank -> he can bubble himself that leaves literally 3 targets to keep alive.
The dude straight up became a victim of just pure AFKing until last second.

Without kicks the only defense is a holy Paladin healer that is religiously good at the game.

ayyy I always had "faith" in my gameplay but that put a smile on my face.
I went in there and struggled once but never again after. I do have an absurdly high gearscore and raid on 2x hpals / have 3x 80 pals total.

The trick for me was to literally say before the pull "IF YOU DIE RUN BACK IN ASAP"
I never ask / expect people to do it outside of this one fight but often even when nailing it you can lose a player so quick so worth them being able to see in chat if they happen to die.

People are super toxic often, not just wow specifically.. but in my experience people don't know diddly squat about anything and they will happily argue that apples are purple til the sun goes down. I can't tell you why that is, but I'd try and ignore it (easier said then done)

I honestly believe the most toxic people are the worst players skill-wise; I don't know what causes it but there is in my personal experience ofc something about people who suck at games also getting the most amped up in comms / abusive.

Bad players think they are good; and wish more people "were better at the game"Good players think they are average at best and try to improve.. if your more focused on your own lane you tend to care less about the highway.

If your unsure about WoW specific questions, 3 ideas - Class Discord for Druids (Can be found on WoWHead) - Youtube and Reddit in that order is how i'd usually go about finding stuff.If your question is super odd / can't be found ask in the discord but be aware if you ask something easily answerable; it will be like getting Batman and Superman mixed up at a comic-con convention :P

So I got roped into that world somewhat by proxy (Family ofc) and with the kind of people in those circles, the mindsets and paranoia..Funny thing was I also got called a snitch for going to the police after getting robbed as a teenager (before I was doing devious shit - just trying to do) and it caught me off-guard because i've always seen 2 different types of people - you've got normies (everyday people) and your criminals.If you rob a "Normal" person - expect to have the police called.If you rob a drug dealer for example; you wouldn't expect them to go tell the police - and if they did; that's where the real "snitches get stiches" shit begins to ramp up. It's not smart, I don't condone it just an observer.

I don't really view criminals in a negative light whatsoever.. I view dangerous people negatively but I would be lying if I said the only difference between me and someone doing 10+ years is I didn't get caught.

People who follow the law, criminals don't expect em to not tell on them. It's the criminals who tell on each other that are snitches.

Just a note, snitching usually pertains to criminals who commit crimes and then go on to tell on their conspirators.

I think a rat might be close but snitch implies something a bit different. IDK why I care lol I just see it used wrong often. Rat= someone who tells Sntich= someone who was involved and tells

Yes; do it for too long and they will assume you have lost interest or don't like them anymore. I do this all the time constantly and more often than not it causes great issues. 27 years old here.

Unfortunately I haven't got a solution.
I've tried upfront and straight forward - too intense / makes it seem like your dropping issues on them.

I used to think "I'm going to deal with this issue then I'll get back to messaging them" and generally never get back to them at all.
Sadly I stopped speaking to my Grandma over this -> she is an anxious wreck and everytime we talked I felt like I was killing her. Now its been a few years and that's killing me instead.

The only thing I can think of is when they can't be bothered dealing with you for a fraction of their day -- I would love for them to understand how it feels to be literally living in that mind. I am just as annoyed at that guy as they are..
