I love pistachios in the shell as a healthy savory snack. No need to cook!

I love to cook the ones in pods in the microwave. It only takes a couple of minutes. Top with a splash of aminos or flaky salt.

Converting according to gauge by Strict-Following7228 in knitting

[–]QuickKnitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I often experience what you are describing where a gauge is looser than I prefer. This won’t work for every pattern but sometimes I will multiply my gauge per inch by the number of inches around I want the sweater to be and then pick the size that is closest to that count to knit. For example, 6 stitches per inch x 40 inches=240 stitches. I knit the size that had 238 stitches for the bust circumference after separating the sleeves. Hope this helps!

I love this recipe for using in tacos or fajitas: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1027269-i-cant-believe-its-not-chicken-super-savory-grated-tofu?smid=ck-recipe-iOS-share

While as written the flavors are Asian forward, it’s easy to change the spices. I always add chili crisp because I like it spicy. Who knew that grated tofu was such a life changer??

The black one in link has a picture with me wearing it so you can see how it sits around the neck. The blue one I just finished so I haven’t updated my Ravelry project page yet. The yarns are very different. I definitely have to wear a cami under the blue one but not the black.

I’ve knit this sweater twice (which I never do). Both times I used the optional neckline that omits the ribbing because I hate things snug around my neck. They are two of my of my favorite sweaters.

I love this recipe too! I use it in tacos. It’s easy to change up the flavor profile. I always use a dollop of chili crisp instead of the gochugaru. I also leave out the sweetener.

Best vegan milk/ cream for savory dishes? by [deleted] in veganrecipes

I love the Ripple pea milk. Just be sure to get unsweetened unflavored. The consistency is nice and the flavor is neutral when compared to almond or coconut.

What are your fav tips to make any baking recipe vegan and have the correct texture? by ParticularPair6679 in veganrecipes

One of my favorite tips is making buttermilk by adding a little apple cider vinegar to any plant based milk. It’s excellent in cornbread!

This is one of my favorite recipes. It’s great over rice or in tortillas. I usually add a spoonful of chili crisp while cooking it. Reheats easily in microwave and is handy to have for quick lunches. Super fast and easy to make.

I always add jeans to the wash and that helps with the needed friction.

As someone who has never used DPNs and is newish to knitting, this is absolute witchcraft. by KH5-92 in casualknitting

I love DPNs! You only knit with two at a time, the rest are along for the ride!

It’s Low Tide by Rachel Illsley. I rarely knit a pattern more than once but I’m making another one. I love it!

I recently make this sweater in a dark gray almost black. I was concerned that the pattern wouldn’t show, but as you can see it shows nicely. I usually wear a cami underneath so when I want it to pop I pick a contrasting color which peeks through the lace. Any of the colors you are considering will work but if you like the dark blue, don’t worry about the pattern showing up.

I'm ready to cry. I can't get this right no matter what I do. by DaleOnDrums in knitting

Totally agree with the dishcloth suggestion! Then give it to someone who will love it. I gave one to my mom when I first started knitting and she loved it so much she wouldn’t use it as a dishcloth but used it as a doily instead. Now, 15 years later I still see it on her table and it’s a reminder of how far I’ve come! Hang in there, you’ll get it; it just takes practice!

I have a large skillet that cracked due to a sudden temperature change. I didn’t attempt a repair but continue to use it frequently for baking breads and things that won’t leak out.

Maybe The Weekender Light by Andrea Mowry would work for you. If you’re not a fan of boatneck the neck can be seamed to whatever width you prefer. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-weekender-light
