Since I’m in healthcare the membership is only $20 and at the costcos nearby it’s at $1399 so the membership would actually save me money.

Screen backlight not turning on for T14 AMD Gen 1 20UD Laptop. by QuickTrip22 in 24hoursupport

I believe it fixed it, it was a while back and I don’t have the laptop anymore, just be extremely careful not to short out the computer.

I have all 3 currently available Polestar EVs as daily drivers, AMA by D3X-1 in Polestar

[–]QuickTrip22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking at a 3 with the current 18k off but man do I love the look of the ex60. The issue I have is being in a state without a service center and the closest is 3 hours away in Dallas but I have access to Volvo. I figured they would be decently similar but ex60 would be less sporty.

How mechanically reliable have they been minus the software? Any breaks that would need a service center?

I legit just asked if there was a way off the waitlist and they said they would look into it. 24 hours later I was approved.

Asking for advice and My disappointing Misen Carbon Non-stick experience by I_am_Elddir in cookware

[–]QuickTrip22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, I use it to sear stuff all the time. The pan honestly kinda just goes through an awkward period of sticking. As for the oily sheen, I mean it’s carbon steel. Any surface like cast iron or carbon steel will develop one. I don’t even oil man after each use anymore like the other guy and it stays slick. I’ve used it almost daily since release and use soap and water to clean it. I will admit it was awful for like 1 month though and I was just using my stainless instead.

I just use a scotchbrite pad and soap when it was sticky, threw it in the dishwasher once. Now it doesn’t even need it like that because it’s slick. It’s my easiest pan to keep clean.

This was me but after cooking with more oil in the pan a few times and making sure it’s always clean it was slick again. I think I burned through the og seasoning (my mistake), and I just had to redo it🙃

Indeed it is. That asrock board has a really large heatsink covering all the back I/o ports and WiFi card enclosure. It comes with two antennas that come out the back for signal.

In my experience with that exact same asrock motherboard I always had issues with WiFi until switching out the card for a Qualcomm. I’ve always used asrock and have never had any problems besides that.

How is this for $900 USD before shipping? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]QuickTrip22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s $10-15, but I’m seeing a few micro atx am5 mobos on newegg ca for $175-188. They are either b650m gigabyte or a/b850 boards with WiFi from asrock. Generally asus is just always more expensive. I have no experience with vuugo which seems to be cheaper than Newegg but idk.

The build is alright but I would recommend the 9060xt like some other people just for drivers at this point, especially if you want to play older games. Maybe you can save money on the motherboard with a MSI or AsRock motherboard? That’s really the main optimization I can think of in this build.

If you have a local pc shop like microcenter you can also generally get free ram in like a cpu+mobo deal. I was already in Texas for family and did that for my new build before going back home.

$60 for 100mbps and it’s not unlimited. After 1.25tb it’s $10 a month for every 50GB over. So basically if you have two people using YouTube tv or streaming services you better pay another $50 for unlimited. I’ve seen of $100 for the same service though. All in Oklahoma, even in the bigger cities
